I currently do not have alot of time to play on my PC. But i have an abundance of time to use my phone. So im using the Remotr app to mirror my pc to my phone and a bluetooth Xbox1 controller to play the game. It runs pretty good, but not great.
So what im thinking is i need to make a new character or build that will allow me to play much more passively. Something with very few abilities i need to use, not alot of targeting, and something thats tanky enough so i can farm and level up without worrying about dying a ton.
I was thinking a pet build or some kind of aura build? If anyone has any recommendations i would greatly appreciate it. Thank you in advance and happy new years.
Contrary to popular belief summoners require plenty of input, because you need yo resummon them. The exception may be some tanky briarthorn setup, but idk how it is.
Passive is the very definition of retaliation supertanks, but I dislike builds like that so can’t help you.
I design my pet builds around semi-afk play so it is certainly possible. But leveling is another matter entirely
@OP, if you are interested in pet builds, give this a read and see if it tickles your fancy. It is not the only way to build or play, but if you are starting out with nothing then it will probably serve you well.
Once you are past the leveling phase and have acquired the necessary items and stuff, you can switch to a build from here for a mostly passive play.
Regarding aura builds, you could probably do either a Infiltrator or Deceiver using Aura of Censure/Night’s Chill to cause on attack procs by just being near enemies. You could work Word of Pain/Rune of Hagarrad into it as well as both are fire-and-forget.
End game, get 1-2 Malakor Infusions/Bargoll Hearts (for Elemental resist reduction to Censure or Word of Pain), load up on procs like the Balance ringset, Cataclysm, devotion abilities like Elemental Seekers or Meteors (and Elemental Storm for RR obviously) and cause madness with minimum effort. Mageslayer’s set also an idea as it feeds even more damage/resist reduction into Night’s Chill and expands the radius.
Word of Pain might be a good one, its pretty chill. i debuff with Curse of Frailty on Occultist then WoP the targets too, trash goes down pretty quick, then for tougher stuff you can bung a Storm Box of Elogoloth on them with Tether. pretty much all you have to do then is run around and avoid getting hit but stay close enough that u get extra debuff from Aura of Censure. chuck on a load of elemental devotions, Elemental Storm and arcane currents and its quite easy going.
I don’t always design simple builds but when I do they really are pretty relaxed and braindead in terms of piloting.
Look for Fire Ants in My Eyes Johnson here. It’s a 4 button build, one of them Word of Renewal (so really 3 active buttons).
And Malakor’s Tactician, the toughest non-shield melee build out there (but in reality probably tougher than shield builds), 5 button build, 2 of them is Word of Renewal and Blitz for mobility.
EDIT: Forgot to add that both builds deliver absolutely disgusting amounts of damage.
You will want to look for items that give + Aura of Censure & Night Chill
Mageslayer Set
Mythical Mark of Dark Dreams
Mythical Malakor’s Infusion
Gaze Of Empryion
Mythical Chilling Grips of Haggard
Mythical Rune Armor of Ignaffer (A Must Really)
Mythical Reign of Fire and Ice
Elemental Harmony Set
Avenger Relic has an awesome Aoe Proc, but most people don’t use it since it doesn’t have +1 to all skills in a class. But Personally I use it on this build as It’s a really strong AOE Proc.
These are all good items to look for tho obviously you cant use them all since some are from the same gear slot. Also you want to stack Elemental Damage from gear. And Get items with procs since you are only using 1 skill that can proc a devotion proc.
You will need to use a cold stone and an Enchanted Flint to attach the procs from Giants Blood & Tree of Life
Leveling the build you will want to get Night’s Chill & Shadow Strike maxed pretty early. Something Like this https://www.grimtools.com/calc/RVvo56vZ
Then switch to Inquisitor and rush Aura of Censure, but make sure you Put some points in Pneumatic Burst also. Then Rush Nightfall and max it. Then fill in the rest as you feel fit.
Later on if you feel the 3 heal procs is enough to sustain your life you can drop pneumatic Burst and switch to a skill like Rune of Haggard instead for faster killing time
