Pet Conjurer - Moggy the Puppy!

Can you please show me what the whirlpool proc looks like? I can’t check for my self right now. Cold/ice/water is my favorite element in any game!

The Blue spinning circle thingy in that video

Thanks. Can you rank your puppys? Like best to worst in your opinion.

Chaos > Sparky = Frozen > WarGod from my personal experience.

Tried out all the builds again, one after the other in the crucible just to get a good feel on them.

Result: Chaos > Sparky > Frozen = WarGod

The Chaos Variant is the fastest in the crucible, fast enough to rival or maybe even beat Witching Hour Chaos conjurers. It remains untested against Ravager/Mogdrogen but should be able to do it just fine.

The Sparky is not as fast as the Chaos one. However it is the easiest to play and also the safest. Plus all the sparks :stuck_out_tongue:

Frozen is pretty neat and fun. But, it struggles if you play Crucible without blessings or banner.

WarGod suffers from the same problem as Crucible without blessings or banner is hard.

Sparky, Frozen and WarGod versions are more or less equal when playing Crucible with 4 Blessings + Banner.

Ha, I knew it had to be something like that, but never clicked the buff buttons in GT. Learn something new every day! Thanks!

Damn, I made a blunder…

Apparently I forgot to put Augment on the wendigo rings on the Sparky Puppy variant (Ultos devotion). It is actually pretty close to the Chaos Puppy in terms of clear speed now with clear time of <6 mins very much possible.

By extension, Ravager and Mog fights should also be faster

I decided to give your various Mogdrogen setups a spin. These were the results:

My cold setup
Witching Hour setup

With your setups, Chaos >> Lightning > Cold (> Oleron’s probably, didn’t test that one)
When using Mogdrogen the Wolf, I would estimate that maximum potential clear speed would be ordered as Chaos = Cold > Lightning.
A different pilot may find different results.

<6 mins without MIs or Wrath of the Beast may be possible for Cold or Chaos, but only on an extremely lucky run. I suspect with MIs you could get under 6 minutes without too much trouble, but not by much.

Witching Hour + Dying God still wins though in terms of Crucible clear speed, it’s hard to compete with 1000% extra damage bonus. A Witching Hour build with Bysmiel’s Domination clears even faster, but I don’t have time left tonight to grab numbers for that. I’ll probably do that tomorrow.

The Witching Hour build would likely be worse against Mogdrogen and Ravager.

It would be interesting to see how well Bane of the Winter King fits into a Cold build. Probably not well enough, but I might try anyway.

I feel like we need a compendium just for Will of Bysmiel + Beastcaller’s Conjurers, there are so many variations of them now.

That is weird…

Each round of blessing lasts 25 mins right? If so, pretty sure that I got a less than 6:15 run in my screenshot in the OP. And I am a terrible pilot, so thought others would get much faster times. On one hand I am sad that my build wasn’t as fast as I originally thought, but on the other I am happy that I am not as terrible as a pilot as I originally thought :stuck_out_tongue:

Btw, can you link the vids themselves if you have uploaded them somewhere? I lag too much when recording and others might find it useful to see how the builds actually play compared to looking at screenshots.

EDIT:

Ok, so the pet from bysmiel’s allows me to make consistent ~6:15 min runs now with little to no pet micro: https://i.imgur.com/Mjfj1oM.jpg

Hm… wonder how Blizzard will do in the chaos build…

Ok… so added blizzard and changed some stuff around. I think I am going to stop now though I am not sure if I am using the best possible bindings for devotion proccing.

And finally we move on to Ravager/Moggy (soonTM)

So the new Chaos did better than previous one?

Yup. I now don’t have to micro my pets at all and for someone who prioritizes being lazy over everything else that is an amazing news :stuck_out_tongue:

The extra pet + blizzard makes life easy. Playing without blessings/banners also got easier, safer and a bit faster.

The only downside is an extra active skill to proc the pet from Bysmiel devo, but that is only once like every 23 sec. So, so far no complaints.

EDIT: Incase anyone is wondering about my choice to bind Bysmiel’s proc to Grasping Vines instead of say Doom bolt for eg, it is mostly due to its relatively low mana cost. Since it hits multiple times you don’t have to worry about proc chance.

Btw, a part of me still wants to believe that it can be faster in the right hands.
So if anyone manages to record or screenshot a run less than 6 mins, I am willing to pay top internet dollars
I can’t seem to go lower than 6:15 thanks to my lack of micro and getting monsters stuck in spawns whenever I find a favourable combination of mutators

And, the results are in for Moggy/Ravager fights for the chaos variant.

No potions/ consumables used nor necessary. Took about 9 minutes. Pretty safe and easy fight.

Ravager of Minds: https://i.imgur.com/q3GRgPN.jpg
This one was a little bit unexpected. It took about 6 minutes, which is pretty much the same as the Sparky Puppy. I had hoped it would be faster. No potions/consumables used but keep an eye on your mana.

The Frozen and Wargod variants should also be capable of doing mog/ravager, but I assume it will be a little harder with those.

Ok… can anyone tell me why the “Mend Flesh” skill of Familiars is considered bad by the community? Because it really isn’t.

Anyways, presenting to you the newer Chaos Puppy: https://www.grimtools.com/calc/xZy4A3mV

Now it doesn’t have mana problems anymore and the Ravens make up for the loss of behemoth. And yes, Whirlpool replaced Blizzard.

No potions/Consumables used as always. Pretty sure the first one is a flat 6 min run. So hooray!

No potions/consumables and all that :stuck_out_tongue:

Why would whirlpool replace blizzard?

Different devotion route. Blizzard needs 6 blue points to unlock.

How come no chaos builds use guardians gaze anymore?

Will give it a try tomorrow. Something like this perhaps: https://www.grimtools.com/calc/62a4JgkN

I havent seen a build use it since sigatrevs chaos conjurer which was one of his first builds and every chaos build since doesnt use it for some reason

I suppose it’s because 1) it messes up optimal DG+AH devotion route, 2) no pets except skeletons (and maybe familiars) do enough hits per second to proc it well enough.
