I must say, the Illusionist was not something that I ever thought to ask for, but its inclusion has improved my enjoyment of the game and provided additional incentive to go hunting for unique looking equipment to play around with!
I don’t know how feasible it is, but it would be fantastic to have some form of Illusionist for summoned pets.
Now, as one of my favorite characters is a conjurer, I am thankful that we have mythical versions of many pet/summoner items, but I was sad that there were not any new upgrades/alternatives to items like the Black Grimoire of Og’Napesh or Yeti summoning Heart of the Mountain.
There’s not a particularly large amount of pets in the game, particularly from equipment and being stuck with the same ones even after a cap raise is kind of disappointing.
If I were to make a smallish list of monster types whose appearances would be really cool for pets, I’d limit it to these
Chthonian Harbinger
Void Taskmaster
Chthonian Fiend
Chthonian Dreadguard
Wendigo
Slith
Scavenger
Rift Scourge
In short, more demons/demon-like creatures mostly.
