i just found an interesting sword (well for me it is at least) and im wondering, would it be a good idea actually use it on a warder?
im playing thunder totems, so basically, half my dmg would be physical and half lightning (harder to resist+ there is some pierce too) and also, by pumping phys dmg i can fully support my totems and lightning devotions with savagery… sounds cool in theory but how practically would it be? skill wise (since there is a limited amount of points) and gear wise, would it be hard to get a decent number of lightning and phys at the same time? probably would have to rely on “+all dmg”
P.S. the sword i got have 156% phys dmg, 128% pierce, 220% internal, 48% conversion, 25% atk speed, 19% aether resistance <kinda saves up the purified salt
Trying to build for/scale both Physical/Lightning doesn’t really work as you have to go out of your way to pick up resist reduction options for both (I.e. Assassin’s Mark for Physical, Arcane Bomb for Lightning). There is very little crossover in resist reduction sources for both (off the top of my head is 25/28 flat reduction to all from Agonizing Flames/Acid Spray and -10% Physical/Lightning from Reaper’s Dreadgaze).
You’d do better specialising mainly in Physical or Lightning (and using a different weapon if you go Lightning).
oh well… will stick to light then and continue to use my duo
P.S. while we are at it, kinda hard to decide which one to use:
one boosts totems and “pact”, another… greatly boosts the wind… maybe totems are better since it gives direct instant dmg? i would gladly get rid of my dagger and use both off hands
