There have been many requests to change it, as intuitively it makes sense that bleed is the dot version of piercing. Though considering the amount of work it will cost to change it at this state of the game it is extremely unlikely that it will ever be changed.
I always wanted a conversion to bleed. Let’s say, Fire damage converted to bleed would make fire a bleed per second thing while burn would be bleed over time. But Crate says nooooo, stupid USER_NAME_01, stupid. They never said I am stupid because they’re nice, so don’t ask. Also, I am saying this jokingly.
I actually think it’s my favorite damage type. But either way, if we could convert flat damage to a DoT, it would be kind of OP.
On the one hand, Bleeding Conversion would open more possiblities for masteries which now don´t support Bleeding at all.
On the other hand, Bleeding is pure and simple. An item has bleeding damage–> it´s okay. It hasn´t…well, maybe have another look at something different. Get enough flat damage and percentage…and let the slaughter begin.
I wasn’t joking about the builds, I actually believed that bleed conversion was possible so I tried not one but two builds before I began suspecting something was wrong. :o
I have an electrocute to bleed vindicator with great theoretical potential if I would actually be able to convert, which I can’t.
