Aetherward Oil has been mentioned, but popping it at wave 169 is game changing. I would use it in waves with Aleksandr as well, especially if there is something like Aleksandr + Aleskandr + Valdaran
Interesting. Did not know that. I’m not sure how other players do it, but I simply bind the forced attack key to left alt coz my thumb’s right there.
I suppose it’s easy enough to do the same for forced movement.
Regardless, I wonder if not having a uniform setup for every toon you pilot will impact performance when switching toons.
I have a suggestion for your guide. It’s about reflection.
Some mobs have white Mirror animation (Myrmidons etc), some mobs have yellow Mirror.
If the character have at least 8% ADCtH and some decent weapon damage, Yellow ones can be easily crushed even under Mirror because they reflect only 30% of damage income and they are vulnerable even under Mirror. 30% reflected + 70% passed and affected by ADCtH are balanced, you receive no damage.
White ones are other story: they reflect 30% damage too, but they are immune under mirror: you can’t heal and damage is not balanced, you hit yourself when hitting the White reflector.
Done, added under ‘Dangerous non-nems.’
Thanks veretragna!
Arcane elites don’t have nullify, right? Never had my buffs purged even when going on autopilot, and I would imagine losing blessings would be incredibly frustrating if it was a thing.
No. No nullifies in the Cruci. Grava and that ‘Ghost crab the Foul’ and MAYBE some arcane mobs can however force your skills to enter ‘cooldown’ (i.e. spell disruption).
hmm, I thought, I found a way to enter,
but it’s just a reflektor
Short question:
for grinding the most gear in the least amount of time should I do:
gladiator 100 - 150, 130 - 150, 130 - 150
or 150 to 170 3times? with the option to die in the progress.
or challenger?
I think to remember that anyone told me that for farming gear its better to go easy and constant and not max difficulty.
For legendaries 100-150 used to be the best, tho idk if crate changed droprates. For MI farming 150-170 is better.
This guide helped me a lot, thanks for your work and time!
Added a new section to the OP titled, ‘How pilots actually manage those 6minute clear times’
Lol. For me it was really just: get a better pc and a good build.
I have no idea how you guys can do this on your potato computers. Do you have like a sixth sense or something?
There’s so much negativity packed into that ‘lol.’
EDIT: I just can kinda ‘feel’ when things are getting hairy? I don’t know how accurate it is, but I’d rather trust my gut.
Generally, when I feel like all my escape routes are about to be cutoff, and the screen is getting so cluttered to the point where I can no longer intelligently prioritize which targets to attack, I’ll reposition to dilute the mass of monsters a little.
I also don’t like speed-runs. If you watch my videos, I’m almost always at the edge of the pack. The only time I really allow myself to get swarmed is when something like ghoul or MoT is up, and holding your ground is often your best bet at getting out alive.
I actually feel that once I got my new pc I played worse. Maybe that’s just me having less time with GD but I feel like I die a lot more. When I had the potato laptop, I had a fixed recipe on how to handle every wave. Now I get complacent cause I thought I’d be able to see everything but turns out everything got so fast.
So I finally started to try to do some 150-170 crucible alone (with a forcewave build). Read this guide and tried to focus on priority target an all.
First try, their was a mob at wave 169 that was really hard for me. Probably something from FG (which I did not played yet), so I was kinda taken off guard with his abilities. (he almost killed me twice, a big dude with a lot of fire stuff, circling around him).
And last wave I didn’t see Aleksander… and all my circuit breaker were in cooldown because of the guy in wave 169
Thanks a lot for this guide (I didn’t see that I could have double reaper on wave 160, they killed me on my 2nd try, now I don’t have enough tributes anymore :’( )
Sorry about that near death mate. I haven’t updated this guide to factor in FG monster spawns yet.
Still in the midst of figuring it out.
If you notice any patterns please comment in this thread. Will make sure to include them in the OP with creds to you so that others may benefit
Haha, no problem I don’t blame you for not having the new monsters in the guide ! The guide is already very helpful for a new crucible player. (after reading your “how to make your own gladiator” guide, I wanna try it out :p)
I’m still trying to learn existing patterns and strategies (starting with monster names and abilities :’) ). But I’ll stick around here and see if someday I can be of any use ! =)
That’s Veretragna’s
One of the greats, imo.
Do stick around. It’s always nice to see an interested crafter
So, I’m going to do a breakdown of FG’s crucible over the course of this week or so.
In the reply box right below the OP I’ve added a list of things I plan on covering.
Does anyone else have suggestions to make? Am I missing anything?
