I’m not sure whether this is a bug or not but I did a Port Valbury run yesterday with my character and received an unexpectedly high amount of poison DoT. It was in the >500 range even though I am overcapped by a long way and with a 3% increase to the max.
The damage was just from a normal enemy within the mob; no bosses or heroes present, it was hard to see which one though as it was mayhem haha it happened a few times and I couldn’t pinpoint where from.
If I remember correctly that is from reflected damage you deal on the Aether mage-type characters casting their Mirror spell. I can’t think of their name right now as I haven’t had my coffee yet…
what RX says
when you experience out of the norm dot amount or duration it’s like 99% chance you reflected it on yourslf. - since you just happen to be an actual poison build this would likely fall square in that scenario
possessed archmages etc, if you have the Anasteria Thelon quest i think he does small reflect too
Ahh I see, that makes sense. I was worried something was doing massive damage to me! It turns out I was missing a few skill points from the Shattered Realm, I never do it. I have now though and put a couple of points into nullification which will help any future times it happens.
According to the checklist which I went through I was missing the skill and attribute points from the Path of Three quest in normal mode. I’ve just blasted through it but oddly didn’t get either of the points
gt checks if you got the quest cleared not the actual point reward.
I’m assuming it’s because of the way the check is structured, reading quest data.
But you can get the points without doing the quest, either using a Merit token or clearing the quest on Ultimate (if you didn’t get it front loaded via merit), and then GT can’t see that the way they game gives you the point without quest log entry.
