Not sure if it is a feature, but i can place, build and use apiaries in cemeteries.
If it is a feature, the apiary’s space does not reduce the amount of possible graves that can be built.
Image: standard 3x3 graveyard have a capacity of 36 graves. The apiary’s presence does not reduce the max capacity of the graveyard.
This will help for when your villagers are pushing up daisies.

You can also place a new cemetery over the old one (if this is still in the game) if it matches the original’s size
I have loaded my save today and this is the new situation. The graveyard has shrunk down, positioning the beehives outside of it, and the number of graves has also been reduced.
