Possible to use Drain Essence with Siphon Souls?

Hey all,

Quick question: I’m debating replacing Ravenous Earth + Foul Eruption with either Siphon Souls + Blood Boil or Sigil of Consumption + Solael’s Witchfire in my Drain Essence Vit Cabalist. I’m leaning towards Siphon Souls for the Debuff + Heal but need to know if I can cast it then use Drain Essence at the same time like SoC or does the skill take up a full 3 seconds before I can cast something else?

It lasts 3 seconds on affected enemies in it’s radius. You only stop drain essence for a sec to cast siphon

Ok, so it’s a “cast and forget” spell similar to Ravenous Earth?

With Aether Siphon souls it lasts 6 seconds if I recall correctly.

I use vit siphon with my vit DE guy. It works like a charm.
