So i am going for a primal strike lightning shaman, two handed ranged.
It is working pretty fine, but i am not sure what to chose as second mastery, are there any skills which would have tremendous value for this build?
I get a ton of dmg it seems just from shaman, so what should i be looking for?
Vindicator or Soldier, both suit well.
Don’t you mean Inquisitor or Soldier? Vindicator is a class not a mastery.

I had a look at it already but got no experience with it.
Well, Inquisitor is mainly a gunslinger so the WPS’s at the top of the screen. Sadly though, they won’t proc off of Prinal Strike because they only work with default weapon attack/replacers and PS isn’t one. You’d need Savagery for that.
Inquisitor Seal, probably Aura of Censure if you don’t go for Shaman’s exclusive, a lot of people like Word of Renewal and Word of Pain, but I’ve never used either.

Why would i go for Aura of Censure?
Resists reduction is king of the game, so you can’t miss Censure. Also it provides damage reduction, which will help you mitigate enemies damage.
PS, another vote for Inquisitor.
For instant RR, damage reduction and disruption for enemies.
btw, didn’t have time to post a thread before GT had gone down but I tried Ultos warder and it showed … pretty great results in cruci, despite not very high rr.
You mean the melee Ultos version. Cause ranged Vindicator is lot better. For melee Soldier provides excellent stats and you can use Stormcaller pact.

Okay i understand, but the range is not huge - or am i wrong?
Isn’t it contrary to the concept of being ranged?
It’s hard to keep enemies in big range from you anyway.
As @Nery has said, all ranged builds finally end up with fighting enemies face-to-face cuz in cruci, e.g, you can’t keep the proper distance.

Elementalist is not a good choice if not playing Cyclone set, druid - why not, well.
A little bit more insight would be nice…
When you say “druid why not” you mean there are good skills for this build in Arcanist?
Probably defensive ones i guess, Mirror + M. Sphere?
