As the title say! What do you think, will this be awesome?
Imagine if you take the Necromancer class and take the skill “Raise Skeletons” and add a passive node to it which turns the skeletons into necrotic energy skeleton wolves?
These will be your wolve pack. To further enhance them, we now take the other skill “Summon Blight Fiend” and another passive node to it, which turns the Summon Blight Fiend into an Alpha necrotic energy skeleton wolf, this one is bigger than the pack, indicating he is the alpha amongst them.
unironically wouldn’t be surprised if dev cost considerations wouldn’t even be the primary factor, but simply that Crate don’t want to alter existing mastery trees
It’s usually the main hindrance even when minor mechanic changes are suggested, that could be fixed slapping on a new/side transmuter (and would take only “5mins” of Z’s table attention)
I personally think this third expansion will be the last for Grim Dawn too, that’s why they are taking longer to add features and/or to ensure we experience all the “More” so they can focus on other games, like the FF, RTS, survival game to maybe prepare themselves potentially for a Grim Dawn 2, maybe we will never even get a Grim Dawn 2, but a entire new IP ARPG from Crate, i think that will also be awesome.
One can also argue there is limitation with Grim Dawn and the whole lore, so ideally it will be best to make Grim Dawn 2 to expand, but what if Grim Dawn 2 is not needed? I’m sure Crate can develop a new IP ARPG with a lore, not Grim Dawn related and still implement the features they wanted for a Grim Dawn 2, but rather in a new IP.
But yeah, one can only hope some of the features we as players want in Grim Dawn they will be implemented such as my personal request for summon wolves as a main skill.
Besides this, i can’t wait for the expansion and get wreck like a hobo in the new Ascendant mode xd
I think there will be an item that turns empy bros into doggos and I think I’ve heard about items to change which skeleton will spawn, so it doesn’t seem totally out of the question that they can be turned into wolves.
Sadly that is not fun in my opinion, it takes away the spiritual journey playing the game. Because now you must farm these items just to be able to do that, and who said you want to play with the oath keeper class for that matter too, whereby you could’ve do that if there was an skill implemented where it makes most sense.
I mean, let’s take the raise skeletons for example, they could of easily added a passive node to change what you summon and/or not. There is most definitely room for that
