Problems at the trading post

Two problems at the trading post :

The thing above the trading post remains displayed when the traders have left.

Few minutes later a trader arrived but when I open the trading post window, I have nothing. I waited two three minutes but still nothing.

Traders don’t come anymore now.
In Arid Highlands they are very important.

Having the exact same two issues since today, trader greyed out, and persistent notification… unable to trade on the first trader every year

Selecting Trader 1 tab should let you trade until this issue is addressed.

Ever since I upgraded the Trading Post to the Trading Center, the Trader image/name never appears and their inventory is empty so I can’t make any transactions. This has happened consistently for 3 years now. Closing the Trading Center window and reopening, and transferring goods and gold into/out of the Trading Center don’t seem to help. Neither does leaving the window open the entire time the Trader is present.

Saving the game, restarting the program, and reloading the saved game did fix the issue though, so there is a workaround.

I don’t know if it’s related, but there were two Traders present in the Trading Post when it was updated, and right after that I got a ‘Trader 3’ and ‘Trader 4’ tab which were just duplicates of the two existing Traders. That’s the last time I could perform any transactions before restarting.

The screenshot clearly shows that I already have, and it doesn’t.

I have the same issue but only with the First trader to arrive (Trader 1) This has only just started today… 29th Aug/£0th Aug… all the trader’s screen is greyed out and nothing can be traded. its causing me endless misery and financial issues in game…there is similarly no trader image or name… and the ‘new trader arrived message’ is stuck on main screen, this also with the Trading Centre. Traders 2, 3, 4 are as normal

It may have been a glitch or a hiccup, but I opened the trading post a couple times, and saw the “Trader 1” tab but no trader in the panel at right. Try clicking on the Trader 1 tab or the panel (with the towers), and see if the trader doesn’t appear.

This is a known glitch. Yes it is caused by having a trader present while upgrading that is still there after the upgrade finishes. It creates new slots for the traders when the building is upgraded, and fails to purge the previously occupied ones, leaving them bugged out anytime they are used in the future. So for you, that slot(s) are gone and any trader that comes in and gets stuck in them will not be visible.

What you can try is to destroy your trading post (might need to use the clear function) and then rebuild it from scratch. I have never tried this and have no idea if it will work, but it might stop you from having to start a new town.
