Is it technically possible in Grim Dawn to bind illusions to the equipment slot instead of the specific item?
I recall that in Diablo 3, it used to be tied to the item itself, whereas in Diablo 4, it was linked to the equipment slot.
I think this would be a great quality-of-life feature for Grim Dawn, too, because you could keep your favorite look consistent while leveling and constantly swapping gear, without having to re-apply it to the new item every five minutes.
Since a Loyalist Pack is still coming, perhaps something could be done about this.

that would be nice if its possible, but i dont want more mods as Itemcoloring, in 2019 i used grim ui, grim internals too, and iam happy that the ui is new in 1.3 and a lot of functions are included in game from GI.
Iam happy with the game now, no need of more tools for me. Of course GrimTools with the browser.
But this would be a great thing for ingame, who knowes what surprise is coming with the AddOn >>>Devs?

Yeah, I did read that we are getting this (segway) xpack because of what Crate wants to do with Grim Dawn 2. Also, since they will use a different (new) gaming engine, it allows them to just go crazy and push this current one to the limits. I bet they had all kinds of fun adding as much MOAR as they can. I am really looking forward this xpack and GD 2 in the future.
That’s right. 2 additional dungeons. Maybe some expanded areas. Of course, another cool Loyalist Transmog pack. This is truly some never ending goodness. Just to think, if it wasn’t for covid, I would never have known about this game.
