Hello,

How will onslaught work with abilities like mortar trap, blade spirits, and other persistent player-scaling abilities? Will the blade spirits have a permanent buff to their damage?

No, because player-scaled pets are not attacks.
If you bind one to your right mouse button and check your damage in-game, you will see 0.
