Question about item drop

I need this item . It is tagged as ‘Ashes of Malmouth’. Does that mean it can only drop in AoM areas or that it can drop in any area as long as I have AoM dlc?

This means it was introduced to Grim Dawn with AoM. But it can drop anywhere, if you have the add-on installed.
