In regards to proccing devotion skills:
- If you for instance add a devotion skill to storm totem, will it only have a chance to proc when I cast totems, or will it also have a chance to proc when the totem itself attacks?
In regards to proccing devotion skills:
It procs when totem attacks.
Thx!
Another question
Well, Cold Kroba trickster might be great for you then
Cold: spellbreaker and blademaster (deathmark’s set), trickster (kobra’s set)
Lighting: trikster (4 piece of Ultos set)
Fire: saboteur (justice and nex+ortus sets), purifier (justice set)
This is a super-common solution, there is a much more uncommon, with conversion
Well, I don’t really have legendaries to choose from… let alone sets of them
I just got my second char into ultimate yesterday and my highest is 88. So if I was to make one from self-found random green gear and use conversion skills rather than conversion gear?
So elemental in general seem like a good idea (can use gear that procs the 3 elements and you can get alot of elemental debuffs from devotions)
A nightblade for dual wielding. Also does some cold damage and has cold debuff. But conversions for physical damage does not work for pierce damage does it ?
Iskandras elemental exchange and Star pact (arcanist) do elemental and cold conversions - Not sure what the total outcome of those would be. Would it be detrimentral to use both?
There are plenty of Pierce > cold/elemental items, some of them are pretty easy to get. Like Silver sentinels helm
I don’t want to open a separate thread again, so I’ll just use this one, I hope it’s fine. So a very basic question, which I hope I already have a correct answer to it, I’m just not 100% certain.
So every RR for a set damage type also works for it’s duration dmg, for example physical RR will also reduce internal trauma and so on. What about conversion? So let’s say I currently play a fire commando and I want to convert as much physical to fire as possible. I currently use a 2h axe that converts 30% physical to fire, I also have 10% conversion on enchanted flint component, so that would be 40% conversion plus perhaps some minor numbers elsewhere. Of course I want to convert more, but that’s what I was able to get so far. Can I also stack some internal trauma from soldier and will it get converted to burn in this case?
So then burn will be affected by my fire RR skills and procs right? I basically want to get oleron’s rage, but if IT doesn’t get converted to burn I almost feel I would be wasting some points. I mean I would still possibly pick it up to increase my OA and run speed, but still I want to be 100% about that IT conversion. Even though I am not mainly focusing on DoT’s with this character, but there is just so much IT in soldier that I cannot avoid it.
For sure
You will pick oleron’s rage for oa and for flat iternal traumas, that becomes burn via conversion.
For RR it’s a very simple - they are not converted, so if you got a phys->fire conversion so you need a fire RR, not RR for physic
Awesome thanks!
Spellbreaker it is then.
Thanks for answering @Safarel! Now another question. How is with dmg conversion on weapons and other stuff? So for example if I have 40% dmg conversion from 2 different sources (on a weapon and weapon component). Does that conversion affect all skills and devotion procs also? I’m not completely sure about that, because a lot of legendary endgame gear also has those conversions that apply to certain skills only. Does that mean those skills only get conversion from specific items?
Or does conversion apply globaly, meaning I will get 40% conversion on all skills with respective dmg type, even though I don’t have any of that endgame gear yet.
Thanks in advance!
“X% Y Damage converted to Z Damage” applies to everything except pets no matter what gear it comes from. If this line is a part of a skill description it only applies to that skill.
“X% Y Damage converted to Z Damage to SKILL” applies only to damage dealt by that skill. Does not apply to devotions proceed by that skill.
Thanks, that clarifies everything. It’s what I initially thought, but it has happen a lot for me in this game when I thought I knew something just to later found that I was wrong all along. That’s why I rather ask now, just to be sure.
