No for self buffs,
Edit: Yes for flat or percentage auras
Look for “bonus to all pets” in gear and skills
Do you have a source for that?
Auras such as Iskandra Elemental Exhange, Flame Touched etc… can be broken down in 2 parts, flat damage and damage %.
Both the pet and the player benefit from the damage %, and the player also benefits from the flat damage as long as it is used with a weapon damage modifier % such as an auto attack or a skill with such modifier.
Unless the pet is coded as a spell entirely and its auto attack doesn’t carry a weapon damage modifier on its own, the flat damage should be added to its auto attack, but is it?
Tooltips are not affected because they are specifically set to only show bonuses from pet modifying stats. The pets do gain increased damage however. Test it yourself, it’s very easy to test.
Hello ASYLUM101,
You are saying the pets benefit from the flat damage portion of the auras correct? (we already know they benefit from the damage multiplier).
The person above you said the opposite, who is right?
I tried testing it with and without auras, but it’s difficult to tell since either way it results in an increased damage for the pet, whether it’s flat damage + damage multiplier, or damage multiplier only.
If you are correct, do you know if it is added to their auto attacks? Unique abilities? Both?
it is normal attacks. if percentage then also spells
So if we take Hellhound for example, its basic attack is Claw and Fang, this attack gets both bonus from the aura’s flat damage and damage %, while his other abilities, such as Blazing Death or the ones you unlock Ember and Claw, Infernal Breath, only benefit from the aura’s damage %. Correct?
