Particularly devotions/procs/skills that apply resist debuffs. Can someone confirm or deny the resists debuffs from all these sources can stack on one enemy? And to their full effect? I’m talking about the -fire resist from all sources stacking on the same enemy, etc.
Arcane Bomb (devotion) ( -OA, -aether and -fire resist)
If not, which of them can stack on one enemy? If any?
Another question, does Olexra’s flash freeze have to freeze the target for its -resist debuffs to take effect? Or does the duration for the skill apply the resist debuffs for that duration even if the target is immune to freezing?
My tests appear inconclusive to answer any of these questions. I can just guess that 1 or more of the resist debuffs are stacking, but I can’t be sure that they all are. And I’m also not sure that OFF is applying its resist debuff against targets immune to being frozen by it.
If for example, if Arcane bomb is being overridden by some of my other debuffs, then I’m not sure its worth the devotion points to use it when I could probably use those points somewhere else.
All -XX% debuffs will stack provided they are from different debuffs, can’t stack 2x warpfire etc. XX Reduced and XX% reduced cannot stack and only strongest one applies
OFF debuff only applies if they frozen so it is semi useless. If you could find a way to reduce freeze res and nuke bosses in that tiny window could be fun though
Most bosses have 70-100% freeze resistance. It wont work on every boss, but for the vast majority it will. It’s irrelevant anyway since I was merely pointing out that it is in fact possible to reduce freeze resistance, not whether or not it is worthwhile to do so.
Wish there was a few other ways to reduce it, but night’s embrace on it’s own is pretty legit. If I get lucky on my procs with my cold blademaster I can freeze sharzul for the 3/4ths of the fight or so. Sadly the two items nine pointed out are the only ones I know of and with my cold blademaster you have to rely on getting lucky to get more than one boss freeze during the duration of the night’s embrace ability
Another way to constantly apply OFF would be to combine it with TD whereupon even without freeze resist reduction a boss like Sharzul would be frozen for ~0.75 seconds, well long enough to attack/cast some other skill. Then it would just be a matter of alternating OFF and the other skill. The advantage of this over keeping mirror up is that the boss can be prevented from applying stuns/freezes etc. during the duration of TD.
