I would like to see quests pull from the shared stash the same that the Black Smith does.
But quest items can’t be put into the shared stash. Doesn’t that sort of defeat the purpose of doing the quest?
Sometimes quests need components. If you don’t have those components in the inv you can’t finish the quest
Which quests? Because I never carry components in my inventory and have never had any problems completing quests. A few quests need things like Ugdenblooms, but they’re easy to take out of the transfer stash to complete them.
I would also guess it might have something to do with dialogues. That’s why you need to have scrap to repair bridges in the inventory rather than the stash because there’s dialogue that tells you that.
I would have to go look them up but there are multiple that need hearts in your inv. off hand.
Ancient hearts yes, but again those aren’t components, they’re crafting materials like Ugdenblooms.
Ah, right. Ok I suppose that makes sense. Thanks for the clarification.
stuff handled via dialogue options can’t pull from stash, eg quests and bridge repairs
it’s not about the material type, components/purple craft mats or quest item, but the interaction type specifically
You think this will change with the components & crafting materials being moved to their own tab?
Not if dialogue is involved, no. Won’t matter if they’re in a “special” stash or just in your transfer stash in general. You’d still need to have scrap and dynamite to repair the bridge to East Marsh for example because there is dialogue invovled in doing that operation.
Thanks! I assume this excludes shrines since there is no speech involved.
Yes, shrines pull directly from the transfer stash as there’s no dialogue involved.
Nice, thanks for the clarification!
