Raiders love a good timing

That’s how the bandits roll =)
Hitting my town the moment when I can’t sound the alarm, upgrading the town hall.
And no garrisoning villagers for defense.

Last year it was during a lightning storm when a building got stuck and caught fire.

If this kind of timing is an A.I. thing for raids, please don’t change it.
These are the most memorable moments when reflecting on the game.

It’s realistic. If you’re going to raid a village you will of course plan to do it when the victims’ defences are compromised.

Haha😂
Interesting that.
Yesterday i got my first 2 refuses to pay the invader army. Both above 150 raiders. I had lots of deaths, but we won, finnaly.
Nothing stolen.
The main problem is to rebuild walls and the towers taken down. Besides that, peoples killed dont get back to normal fast. It takes years to get kids raised and imigrants.

Indeed, lately the biggest problem is the fatalities. They never manage to steal anything, but they decimate all people that work outside the walls (a lot) - mines, labor camps, wainwrights…

The alarm may not be strong enough to be heard outside town … or maybe some of the townsfolk is deaf?
Or stubborn.
Not everyone runs for the hills or seeks shelter.

I’m used to mouse select everyone outside, not targeting the towers though, then right click at some crossroads inside the city for a last defense option.
But the towers are strong and the knights are very tanky.

Just got raided from 3 sides at once, so many raiders … dead raiders.
It seems the “weird gatehouse” with the gaps between towers and wall pieces has its merit.
They don’t bring the heavy guns, just trying to slip through, where the defense is hard.

Hahaha that is a funny story. Thanks for sharing.

I always like seeing my hunters snipe a few raiders then say OH NO and run as they are getting shot back at. Some times i just don’t want to hit the town bell because some of my town folks are brawlers and kick butt haha. Love watching them fighting back.

I imagine stories they tell like :
" Hey our blacksmith saved the town, the fire jugglers took out 4 raiders with fire!"
LMAO

I could do without the raid inflation though. I’ve just been informed there are 41 of them on the way and I’m simply not prepared for one of that size.

I was attacked just in my first gold transaction in the market, 400 gold units lost
