I’ve been testing the proc recently and it seems fairly lackluster, especially for damage. They scale with player stats.
>>I’m wondering if anyone has actually made good use of these?
I understand that the scaling to player was a change, so some older builds and experiences may no longer be valid if they counted on pet scaling bonuses.
Currently:
experimenting with a +2k% vit DW pistol ~150%as and proc tied to default attack, so it is pretty easy to proc 3+ of these.
-raise the dead is 12/20. The skeleton damage is pretty trivial and even at 20/20 with +2000% vit they will only do ~2400 vit per strike.
-the slow is interesting to some extent.
-were not of great use vs Grava or Gargabol. (Mostly due to kiting issue)
-sometimes can be used to block a passage, but have to stand still for this to have a chance of success.
Issues:
-kiting seems to often pull these skeletons away from the target (ie, they run after you until you stand still, then they engage. (* do I need to use pet commands or something?)
-very weak damage for bigger bosses. I see very little difference with them or without in the kill. If tank, move speed doesn’t matter and if kite, the skeletons are kiting after me instead of whacking the boss. In any case, the boss will ignore them.
I use them on a chaos gunslinger to distract and keep enemies away since the damage type is not mine and the slow is useless, and the constellation gives me 6% precious ADCtH. Not the most useful constellation but kinda useful
Actually, IMHO, its one of the best constellation for any auto attack based build. Not only it provides 6% LL, but also 6% attack speed, some HP but most importantly incredible racial bonuses against undead (this is especially good in crucible when you face Reaper, Moosilauke and Zantarin).
Indeed, the skill itself literally doesnt do anything, needs a serious buff of rework, thats why u see in so many builds when ppl take all the nodes but the last one lol
