If my weapon has 30% physical to acid then the physical damage provided by Cadence also gets converted right?
Rifle does more damage per hit which can be an advantage during run and gun kiting, and also has no energy issues while pistoleers may struggle with energy. Rifle has better gearing, while pistols have to use an item slot just to enable their build.
Dual pistols typically do more DPS, by a wide enough margin to make it worthwhile despite all of rifle’s other advantages.
But rifle is better for single target ( boss), right?
Wouldn’t a 2 hander have the added advantage of Kraken constellation?

It should, that’s why the Chaos Cadence Witchblade using Harbinger set is so good.
Can confirm it gets converted, both the bonus phys on the cadence hit as well as the buff from deadly momentum
If you’re properly stacking flat damage then pistols will do more damage against single targets as well as packs, even after taking Kraken into account.
Rifle is better if you are running and shooting which means that damage per hit matters more than ROF. But if you’re able to stand still and unload, pistols melt anything faster.
Conversion on your weapons converts all relevant damage (except damage already converted by a skill transmuter).
