Okay for the past day or so I farmed Kilrian to get his Kilrian’s Shattered Soul components to use on the Legendary item “Fiendscale Jacket” for my lvl 51 Saboteur. Now that is done … but I also have the legendary item “Rune Armor of Ignaffar” in my Saboteurs backpack. ( In case I need some more Chaos Resistance. )
Now my question is … will rare components from a Boss character stop dropping on normal ( Or any difficulty for that matter. ) if my Saboteur is to high in level compared to that particular Boss character? ( This seems to happen with most other components sooner or later. ) Or does the game treat Rare components that can drop from one character only in the game different then the other components?
If not then I guess I will have to farm him some more, so that I can also put his Kilrian’s Shattered Soul on the “Rune Armor of Ignaffar”.
From my experience, that level difference rule only applies to crafting materials like ancient hearts, blood and tainted brain matter. All components can still drop regardless of level difference.
I think it should be 100%, since doing Undercity runs isn’t that interesting. That’s why when I’m out of patience I do 4 runs and if I don’t get a complete soul, I drop the pieces I gathered and clone a complete soul. This way I make a “virtual” 100% drop rate.
That’s the only item I have ever cloned and maybe only 2 or 3 times, but it’s the reason why my characters all become nemesis with Undead.
Well I already had one Kilrian’s shattered soul component part, so I only had to get another 3 parts. It took 5 maybe 6 runs ( But no more. ) to get the remaining 3 parts. ( I might have been lucky this time, I do not know. ) And if you know the layout of the undercity … or use the map well then you can reach Kilrian pretty fast.
So for me personally a drop chance of 45% seems pretty good.
i agree, kilrian run is an easy and short road, except if your char struggles against Moose as you have a good chance to meet him sometimes.
and you have three guaranteed heroes with Grand Spoils and Kilrian with Supreme Spoils, thus there’s a chance you get something interesting beside your partial MI comp
My luck must be very bad. I killed Kilrian five times with Lv72, but I did not get one piece of the soul. In my case, this kind of thing happens many times. If such a result continues, no matter how short the journey is, it is not fun at all.
I wish , from my experience , don’t get me wrong I don’t do hundreds of runs , I get bored after 3 runs with him and a lot of the time those 3 runs get me 0 pieces .
They should have a new mob in there , Kilrian’s honour guard smatttered here and there throughout the dungeon with a small chance to drop one
Having to run a boss for part of a component is just a little “meh”
