Rashalga the mad queen - OP or not? -how to beat

I posted this in general discussion, but r****** said stupid things. And said things not about what I posted.

Rashalga the mad queen needs a nerf, the problem is the red aurora.

I am 95% close range, and I can’t beat her because of the red aurora. I have said this a year ago, and no change has been done to her.

The time between the red aurora goes off, and then goes off again needs a nerf. It’s not enough time to do enough damage in between, because it goes off again in a short time.

This is one of the problems with grim dawn, I have been saying this for more then a year. And that is range builds have a way more easier time, then close range because of enemies like this.

If someone is 95% close range they are screwed with rashalga.

The beginning of what is about to happen

Not really.

I cant wait for more of this types of thread when expac comes… by then Rashalga is a thing of the past! am looking at you somersaulting crab!*

It does, just because you beat it with range doesn’t mean it doesn’t fact.

Hey ret*** stay on topic ret***

Keep trolling thats what people will notice.

i’v moved my post here:

If her heal is a problem to you then there are two issues. You don’t do enough DPS because:

  1. You simply don’t have enough
  2. You are forced to kite too much because you cannot withstand her retaliation aura, thus losing lots of your dps potential

If you don’t show your build and just say it’s impossible it won’t help anyone. And staying on topic is also impossible because we don’t know your build

Can you guys just please let the OP have his thread?

@OP, if you do this a third time, go for the No-Reply Feedback section I guess.

Wow you said something not ret*****, last post you did. and yes that is whats happening the second one.

Showing my build or not doesn’t mean its not impossible to stay on topic, I do when someone doesn’t show there builds. So the reason why they don’t is because they are trolling fact.

How do I show my build, and what do I need to show.

Ok try grim tools:

http://www.grimtools.com/index.html
Blick on build calculator and load your build using the buttons on the upper left side the first one wit the arrow.

Go into your char file and click on the last file “player.” this should load your build. then click on the second button from the top “link to this build”. Then copy that link and post it here

Glad i’m improving on my ret*** condition  Although i did suggest that you post build on my first post

What, am I supposed to just press a button and it just copies the character from my hard drive the build calc

It is off-topic but he isn’t trolling. You could try being a little nice since you posted here for a reason and not simply to have yet another thread closed off for rude comments

On the topic of discussion, follow Fluff’s advice then we can provide some constructive feedback to your criticism directed at balancing regarding Green Queen

Here is a model GrimTools link for you - http://www.grimtools.com/calc/p256mlV5

That link should give you an idea on how to post a build through GrimTools, if that doesn’t help then we might need to resort to GrimCalc

-press on “load char from save file”

-Look for your build in your save file folder and click on it

-inside the folder there is a “player.” file. click on it and it loads your entire build yes

We can do that? :eek::eek:
Since when?

I dont see the button load character from save file

Just try it the old fashioned way,

-open GrimTools
-select masteries
-select the items your char has currently equipped
-map the devotions

It should take you a little around 5 minutes to set everything up if you’re new but it’s helpful imo.

if you are using steam and have steam cloud sync on * try following these folders to get to your character build :

\steam\userdata\XXXXXXX\219990\remote\save\main\

Where is the character file all this just to show my build wow

To OP… there are ways to handle Ralshaga on ultimate (and ultimate HC) even if you do not have very potent circuit-breakers (such as Mark of Divinity, for example) or OP weapons. Let me break down some strategies for you:

  1. Arcanist + (anything) - use nullification after the queen does her third roar. This will nullify the red aura and prevent your death. The biggest problem people have with this boss is that she has a retaliation aura that does life percentage reduction through projectiles (among other things). Remember this pls - it is LIFE PERCENTAGE REDUCTION !!! The life leech part is not a problem, because she has a 15% heal whatever you do and you can’t stop it.

  2. Demolitionist + Nightblade - Max Blast Shield and Shadow Dance. With enough deflect chance you should be able to survive MQ’s retaliation aura.

  3. Soldier + (anything) - Menhir’s Bullwark gives you some % life reduction resistance. You should take it along with Menhir’s Will, as a circuit breaker.

  4. Nullify the aura through devotions (i.e. Cleansing Waters).

  5. Equip Empowered Death Ward - the item proc gives you 100% life reduction resistance.

  6. Mark of the Forbidden - the item proc gives 50% impaired aim. This might help you also.

  7. Harbinger set - the set gives you 8 seconds of complete immunity to CC effects and projectiles. But, indeed, you said no ranged characters so don’t bother with it.

For the expansion:

  1. Inquisitor + (anything) - null field + word of agony should do it.

Generally speaking: the number of projectiles the aura generates is directly proportional to the number of attacks the queen receives. Ergo, slow hard hitting melee characters (e.g. 2h cadence) with huge life steal will do better against her than characters that rely on bringing attack speed close to the cap.

Have a nice day !

I beat her with melee. In fact, MOST of my characters are melee, so your argument doesn’t apply. I don’t play mages or pets. Either 2H or S & B, as a dedicated group support tank.

I died many times against her, she IS hard. But unbeatable? God, no.
