Reasonably powerful builds without greens

So farming is not playing? I mean you can level from 1-100 in 10 hours. What do you do after? If you just move on to lvl another char you cant expect to get those items. You dont need to spend hundreds of hours in crucible, I farmed most of the items in campaign, but it requires doing some rogue dungeons/nemesis runs (that can be easily combined).

I play all my chars very thoroughly, do all the quests and stuff. I play mostly for story and char-build. My latest char hit lvl 100 today, after 53 hours :slight_smile: So I just wanted to contribute to the “statistics” of how many legs you have after a certain number of hours in the game.

@OP: Title can still be easily misunderstood. Conversion builds need very specific gear, more so than MIs. Imo the ones that should fall to this category are things like rune builds, which can work with a good amount of gear combos, spellbinders where there are 3-4 sets that support a build. I do understand your purpose, though but I suggest changing the title into a less misunderstood one.

On double rare MIs: I agree with Ptirodaktill here. After the 1.0.6.0 crucible changes, double rare MIs aren’t that valuable anymore. The main reasons why you use these items are resist capping/overcapping and stun resist, that’s why stonehide of Kings is like the holy grail of GD MIs. Nowadays buffs provide you both overcaps and stun resist that leathery hide is enough and even uncapped pierce/bleed is fine. Look at this ranged runebinder tactician of mine: before the 0.6 changes it featured a thunderstruck solael of reptilian resilience pants (aka the only double rare rarer than nemesis pants), a stonehide of arcane winds boots, and some stalwart of alacrity greens for a total of 5 specific affix MIs. Look at the current version and my main setup now only uses 2 very replaceable greens, in fact the no MI version doesn’t have much performance drop and can still easily clear cruci in around 10 mins. Also purple pants are on the rise now because a few of them provide stats that MI pants can’t provide, more notably slow res and disruption res. Purple pants are also better when it comes to damage, if your damage type aligns with it.

Seriously double rare greens aren’t that good atm.

Edit: you added my stun jacks sorc but that one isn’t 170 certified. Haven’t played it since the 170 patch so idk how it performs, unless you tested it yourself.

Did you consider adding these builds too?

Impaler - PURE
Oirunas - green pants are used to cap resistances;
Morimhira - green pants are used to cap resistances;
Cujara Cinmoi - green medal is used to cap resistances.

And I don’t recommend this build because it requires 4 rare greens. Isn’t it too many?

This is a thread for mixed builds, that don’t use very rare greens, items. So even with legendaries that need specific conversion item, it can be easily find, trade. So u mentioned the spellscourge set wich is a specific items, but it is a fixed item u can find, trade and more often drop then any greens.

I remember when i was a beginner like 1 - 2 years ago, then i tried to make builds, that are don’t use green’s, specific items for the first time. (Yeah there were fewer greens used.)

At the moment i think for a begginer it is more reliable to trade or farm legendaries blues than to see that greens is good for him…

Sure, since u now considered it just for capped resisit. pls write down ur discription too.

I saw it can be changed the ring for the blue alkamos rings, but yeah for the boots and pants it is a qustion, but ok for not misleading people i delete that one.

However, hold deleting it. I think I can rework this build with no greens at all.
I’ll write descriptions to mentioned builds soon.

Based on the probability of rolling a Stonehide/<Good Green Suffix> on Stoneplates being 1:~4000.

ok but average is a statistical concept, so you mean that the chance is in about 1:4000

Then statistically if you roll 4k of those, you are 63% certain of getting at least one such affix combo

I glad to see that. :cool:

Yep, I did it. I removed all greens but at the cost of not capped resistances.
Check the renewed [1.0.6.1] Mekeritrig, the Tormentor - Two-Handed Cold Savagery Trickster, Gladiator farmer - PURE.

And the descriptions for other builds are here:
[1.0.6.1] Impaler - DW Pierce Cadence Blademaster, Gladiator farmer (under 11 minutes) - PURE
[1.0.6.1] Oirunas, The Lord of the Watch - 2H Aether Savagery Ritualist, Gladiator Farmer - green pants are used to cap resistances;
[1.0.6.1] Morimhira, the Rageful - 2H Fire Savagery Vindicator, Gladiator farmer (under 10 minutes) - green pants are used to cap resistances;
[1.0.6.0] Cujara Cinmoi, the Blazing Spear - Lightning+Cold TSS Druid (Gladiator farmer) - green medal is used to cap resistances.

Did u tested tormentor in cruci 170? (Cause the resisit not that good)

I mean in discription just write down there that U use the pant for cap resist nothing else. That i didn’t see.

I saw on ur druid, but u said it’s neccesery that means the only options or there are more options?

Yes, I tested it. Its success rate is ~50% without these greens, so I rather think it’s not fitting this thread.

About druid: any Basilisk Mark with chaos resistance is good.

Hey!
Check this out.
Finally I made this build a true beast without any greens. Its success rate now is ~100%.
New video is attached too.

[1.0.6.1] Mekeritrig, the Tormentor - 2H Cold Savagery Trickster, Gladiator farmer (9 minutes) - PURE.

Same for this one.
Now it contains no green items while still having the success rate ~100%.

[1.0.6.1] Oirunas, The Lord of the Watch - 2H Aether Savagery Ritualist, Gladiator Farmer - PURE.

Nice job. Added. :cool:

Could you please add this build too?
[1.0.6.1] Electric Madness - Storm Vindicator, Gladiator farmer (9 minutes) - PURE
Also bumping this thread because it deserves to be seen.

Just now i said gg build to ur thread. :smiley:
