just fyi legendary full sets count as specific items.

Okey… so u can do cruci with only yellows? Then do it bro… or do it in 9 super rare affix/suffix greens and farm a day 10 hours to find them.

Honestly you should probably replace “Specific items” with greens items or MI’s in thread title cause right now it’s very misleading.

Grim dawn wiki:

"Unique items include those of Epic and Legendary rarity. These items are the rarest and most powerful items in Grim Dawn. Unique items have pre-determined stats, as opposed to the randomized affixes of Magical (yellow) and rare (green) items, and can sometimes come with active or passive Granted Skills.

Unique items can drop as loot anywhere from monsters or chests; one-shot chests in particular contain a guaranteed random Epic. Some can also be crafted after finding the appropriate blueprint. The Blacksmith Etram Fald will also craft random Legendary items for the appropriate cost.

Unique items may also form part of an Item Set."

In this case legendary items not specific, it’s unique…

You get what I mean, nobody uses wiki terms for items. As you can see for yourself in people minds specific item means anything but MI or green.

But whatever if you not tired of answering questions about “why thread named builds without specific items contains full legendary builds??” then all power to you.

Ravager helm is MI and there is 1 that contians it.

Furthermore back in the days when i created this thread, i allowed to have some greens, but after that i changed the thread and for upcomming expansion there will more items not only greens that it will may be specific items.

Aren’t most (or all) of these builds already making it to the Build Compendium? I don’t understand the effort to have these builds posted in two threads.

Not all of them, furthermore in copedium there are like chars with double rare affix suffix MI’s.

Here i gather all of the builds that don’t use MI’s.

This is for “beginners”, who don’t want to gather MI’s based items. It will be frustrating if u like a build but has 3 rare Mi’s and u cant do that since u have to farm a toons hour to get those.

I agree with this. It has great relevance to beginning players and most players that play self-found. Keep it up!

yes crucible is better if you are not looking for an exact M.I. But you are completely at rng’s mercy on what drops.
But If you want a specific M.I. like a Gollus ring, then farming Gollus in campaign is better.
You never need double rare, but should always shoot for them. 90% of the M.I.'s I use in my builds I have found either in game or in crucible. Yes most of the Double Rare’s are GD Stashed, but some of them also have been dropped.
And you never need the exact same affixes rolled on a M.I. posted in a build.

Getting a full set of legendary items will take a new player hundred’s of hours of farming, and still no guarantee of a full set. I have over 4500 Hours played in this game and I still don’t have many of the full sets posted in this post (I did delete my stash once but I still wouldn’t have many of the full sets if I didn’t). Trading is not a legitimate way of getting legendary’s, mind as well just GD Stash them.

Yet any new player can farm cronley for a couple hours and get many decent rings and more then likely 1 or 2 really good ones.
Farm any of the 3 Hidden path bosses for a few hours and you will find some pretty good to really good pants.

With all you ass hats constantly bashing M.I.'s you make new players think they are useless unless you have a godly Double Rare affix. And most of the people bashing the M.I.s and saying shit like nice GD Stashing are such hyporcrites because many of them are using GD stash for their legendary items on their posted builds.

They have near perfect rolled legendary’s all with crafted bonuses and I’m suppose to believe they crafted them? You can’t achieve their builds stats unless you have thousands of in game hours collecting mats. As you only have a 1 in 4 chance to get the armor bonus when crafting an item. Then what are the odds not only you get the armor bonus but also roll a near perfect copy?

Even I as a gdstasher for a long time still struggle to obtain perfect copies of armor-crafted legendaries that have conversion. I usually spawn 5 items and get the best roll but in my experience you usually need to fill half a stash page to get a highrolled armor bonus with a highrolled conversion.

As I stated in another thread:

To be fair, no green builds are almost always better DPS-wise than builds with greens. Except when the green is a core weapon. No green armor gives a dps boost better than Barbaros, or Tranquil Mind pants (less slow = more dps).

I’m kind of indifferent to MIs at this point but when I was a newer player trying to learn how to make good builds, I hated seeing builds posted with MIs. It made it literally impossible to exactly duplicate, and when you’re a beginner it is very difficult to distinguish between “the build doesn’t working right without the MIs” and “I don’t know how to pilot this build/game effectively”.

There are also very few affixes that are even remotely useful to pet builds so the chances of getting an MI that is better than a Legendary is virtually non-existent.

And most of the pet-relevant MIs suck horribly to farm. Wendigo Gaze? Lol. Reaper’s Legguards? requires not befriending Barrowholm, a non-starter for pet builds. Bound Wraith and Salazar’s Blade at least have specific, fixed location enemies, but the affixes required to beat legendaries will still never happen legit. Very few single-rare affixes hit the mark.

Playing from zero on my HC Conjurer to gather data for my Beginner’s guide, in ~70 hours I managed to collect every single epic/legendary item that was even remotely useful for the build, multiple copies of most of them. I knew what I was doing and was able to farm Crucible early than a new player would, but still its barely a fraction of the time required to find a single green item that would be better than any of them.

My view is extremely myopically focused on pets, but I firmly believe that it is never worthwhile to try to farm specific MIs on pet builds.

I think the only two reasonable or semi-reasonable builds are Dark Ones and Kriegs’ (I haven’t tried physical krieg but that’s the only one with a reasonable way of getting weapons. Aether krieg feels halfway crippled with just a penultimate theodin heart and nothing else to fill the gap with) and only Krieg builds are reasonably attainable in HC mode.

So that’s how useful this thread is. :undecided:

I mean, show me how you, with no transfer stash, no GDstash cheats, and without the recipe for the headpiece, get a Radaggan’s vitality apostate running from zero to gladiator.

Or any of the beastcaller conjurers also using myth will of bysmiel. Or malakor’s denial.

I could go on, but the ball is already in your court. :stuck_out_tongue:

I don’t really udnerstand how u define the game…

Let me explain if u want to make in diablo 2 a summon necro u still have to farm like 1000 hours and may be trade too to get the set for it

This is true for PoE, sacred 2, diablo 3 too…

So what are we thinking here? Too not play and get everything? Too not trade and get everything in no time?

U don’t want to farm, fine GDstashed a build that’s all… But really the core of this games are to play find ur items, sets. Without trading a bit of harder, but with it still will be 1000+ hour to do a char for cruci.

And that’s it… If u really looking for greens that’s more too… So go ahead on hc and Gdsthed a hc viable char. That would be fine for u.

So no matter what type of items do u want to find u need to grind cause this is a “grind game” not as hard then WoW, but i guess u never tried.

I just want to show the people builds, that need “less farm”.

I agreed with sigatrev when i liked a build as begginer in crucible farm and see he has 4 greens no matter what type, then i closed looking for else, cause even for a hidden path u need some really good gear to defeat the bosses.
