I tried to tell them that they are welcome to have their own opinions and play the game the way they like it.
But those people just loathe every opinion that is not similar to theirs. At least this brings up some juicy discussions!
Yeah! I’m happy too.
Thanks! Grim Dawn brings me a lot of fun these days
Hey Zhuugus, I have a build that can clear Gladiator in less than 30 mins. This might be worth testing to see if you can add this to your list. Here’s the link: http://grimdawn.com/forums/showthread.php?t=65552
Deathknight all the way. Strong Battlemage gears don’t really exist until level 94, synergies are also bad. With Deathknight you can make a decent physical based one at low levels until you reach 94 and switch gear.
It is heavily outdated, even uses grimcalc instead of grimtools. So it’s a lot of work to update it for AoM and then to test. And I don’t even know if it’s gonna be worth it. May do this later, now I have some builds to test that actually have evidence of their strength.
What would be the build with the lowest gear requirement of those on the list? I mean the build that would be able to function at a good level even without full BiS.
It’s very hard to say, actually, and it often depends on what items you’ve got. Some builds have more gear options and arent tied to particular set or item (like my build), but EVERY build will scale a lot with gear, so you shouldnt expect a build geared mostly in vendor stuff, to feel strong and powerful in AoM ultimate or Crucible.
I totally agree with what MortalKombat said.
Witchblade is probably the best option. There are 4 very strong witchblades presented in my initial post, all absolutely different (2 melee, 2 casters). So you can always respec some points and make yourself a different one, depending on playstyle and items you’ve found. You can start with forcewave witchblade by MortalKombat, very strong and easy to play.
You are welcome! Always glad to hear that my posts help someone.
First off thanks for all of this work Zhuugus. Now I have a question related to number 15 in the list the S&B physical witchblade. I noticed that 3 of the constellations have no abilities bound to them? Is the intentional? Or am I simply blind in finding the answer to this possibly silly question? Anyways thanks for your time.
It was an oversight. When I’ve changed the build I posted the new tree after making manual changes on Grim Tools, and I simply forgot to bind these 3 celestial powers, but you can bind them to any free permanent buff, like in this example: http://www.grimtools.com/calc/4ZDO33kV
Now with the new crucible out, you’re gonna be very busy with testing every build in this thread. That’s a lot with 38 builds all in all. Excited to see how the changes in crucible will change the contents of the list.
