Reasonably powerful builds

Main difference is cataclysm set and seal of corruption for procs machine as pet cannot be use to procs item.

I was thinking that you can put it in honey badger section, but that’s ok if you have a lot of build left to test.

@Zhuugus

if iam not wrong i cannt find an PRM build for gladiator 150 - 170.
iam interested in a build with PRM - maybe Mage Hunter with Word of Pain + PRM + Devastation + Time Dilation … would be nice too see a build here

You are not wrong, there isn’t one.
I have one in Honorable Mentions section:
http://www.grimdawn.com/forums/showthread.php?t=59782
but it was not good enough even for 100-150.

Try adding 5k DA to it, maybe it will work. From my point of view, PRM is a weak skill, it has horrible single target damage, asks too many skill points and gives too little in return, thus it is not worth working with. It’s always better to use good skills in arcanist mastery like devastation or trozan. Among spammable skills even skills from components (like Stormfire from Seal of Destruction) are stronger in my opinion than PRM because they demand no skill points.
My thoughts on making a descent mage hunter is to take trozan set + cataclysm set + 5k DA. Maybe I’ll try this later, now I have to test too many builds.

@Zhug your info is a little outdated, some new adjustments have made it better

@Zhuugus.
Hm , i see almost no Ritualist in the list. So i leveled one for Crusible purpose.

No buffs no banners, easy 10x multiplier .

Ok, this convinces me that single-target DPS of PRM is good now. I wonder what they did to make it not shit.
But what about crucible? With 3k DA you will be powered into dust on wave 160. PRM needs you to stand and spam it and you can’t because you are already dead! And changing rings for green DA ones means ruining Invoker’s Will set.

That’s pretty impressive. But I have strong doubts because I remember how I tested your hardcore spellbinder: having major PITA and dying a lot while you apparently had no problems with it.
I see wave 150 on screenshots. How about wave 170? Because only 3k DA and also using Hungering Void - looks pretty much like suicide to me on waves 150+.
Btw, I had a very similar idea about building a ritualist, only with 4k+ DA, but I can’t find time for any of my builds since people sent me a lot of stuff recently and I’m checking those.

Elemental Devastation mod helm instead of the PRM mod helm
Time Dilation+Mirror
Star Pact

You tested my spellbinder with https://www.grimtools.com/calc/a2dwa48N this setup? I kinda improved her with DA juice.
Ritualist, unforetunately, cannot intro 150+ waves with the gear in my posession, cause Reaper own vitality setups pretty hard. Double reaper+IM+chuppa in last wave would kill it for sure. Even one Reaper feel unfair<_<

TD+mirror can keep alive only kiting casters. If you try to stand and spam with only 3k DA you will be dead 1-2sec after MoE ends.
Also, if we’re focusing on Devastation maybe it’s better to drop PRM at all and make a proper kiting caster?

Yeah, that one. You have another setup to share?
About vitality: I have adapted Vitality decay cabalist by THT and it survives pretty well in 150-170. Not that much DA, but it leeches life like no other build, plus it’s a kiting caster. I’m pretty sure if you manage to achieve 4,5k+ DA on your build it might become a reliable 170 farmer.

5 stalwart of readiness seems too boring to me >_> I d rather keep her at 150 level with decent dmg output.

I tried it once with around 3.6 or 3.8k DA. Basically the build in the video but green pants, boots, shoulder and medal to get the DA. Maybe some devo changes, can’t exactly remember. Just woke up. 2 tries, one got to 165 and 1 got to 169 so I say it has potential but I agree it’s so hard to reach 4k DA with prm because invoker is so important.

How about good old HP tank ? :uuu:

Nope, still not enough sustain to deal with 2 Reaper+Chuppa+random crap on nasty mutators on wave 170 >> 35K hp dosent help much against shotguning reaper summons>>
But, well, that explain why there is no Ritualists in the list  No bracker, no dmg absorbtion, no shield and OA/DA tied to savagery screw shaman mastery pretty hard <_< Spells aren’t stellar either.

Pfff!
Surrender your will to DA!
I just butchered Reaper+Kuba+Iron Maiden+Fabius on wave 170 with my DW cold infiltrator facetanking them all 90% of the time.
Not that much DA, only 4200, plus inquisitor seal plus Aura of Censure debuff.
12 min clear with a dw build feeling very safe, that’s DA magic for ya.
Will post it soon.

Nope, she will work with no more that 1 Stalwart of drangoul. And with Hungering void! No DA cheese, no easy way for us =)
But 2 Rapist+ chuppa on 170 is retarded >> Anything else and I’m fine, but these guys are unfair >>

lol

hello everybody, i just bought grim dawn + expansion and before i start playing i want to ask to you guys if you have any reccomendation for me.
there are a lot of builds here, i’m looking for a beginner friendly build to start with, can you help me to choose one or two? thanks!

Welcome to the forum and to the game. Here are a couple of beginner builds:

http://www.grimdawn.com/forums/showthread.php?t=67346&highlight=beginner+builds

http://www.grimdawn.com/forums/showthread.php?t=66518&highlight=beginner+builds

And this thread has a couple of different ones as well.

Best way to start is to use Soldier mastery. Take 2-hand weapon and Forcewave skill in Soldier mastery with a transmuter that allows to spam forcewave.
Second mastery should be either inquisitor or occultist.
Here is a guide to this kind of build:
