Ya, I guess that would be called a “Leveling Guide for Elementalist, Cabalist, etc…” and so on. Ofc that would be an enormous amount of work for all masteries - for one person.
We surely need guides like that, but in meantime, keep up your awesome work! Btw. I’ve started the spellbinder by Ptirodaktill u recommended. I’m killing mostly with ice spike from chilled steel, works fine for the first 20 levels so far.
3 types of damage instead of 1 is an incredible waste. It is not that easy to stack even one type of damage. I don’t know a single powerful build that uses transmuted cadence. But I guess everything can work on lower difficulties.
That’s an excellent choice! Probably the strongest caster I’ve tried so far. Necromancer is an insane mastery, I will definitely rate it top 3.
There are 2 types of Warder: pure-physic uses cadence and lightning uses savagery, noone wants an all-for-nothing type.
Your avatar recalls me Heroes 3, that golden time :D.
Go for Jajaja’s doubleblitz commando, you definitely won’t be disappointed. Permanent overguard without damage loss is too hard to pass by, especially in HC.
I’m considering rolling the Aether DK. The OP mentions a grimtools link - is there a thread where it’s being discussed/optimized? I would like to know if the items displayed here are BiS, what rolls to look for on the shield, how it performs against the new campaign nemesis and things like that… Hope someone can help
I also have one DK using the Krieg Set.
Here a video clearing the last 10 waves in the HC Crucible Gladiator:
As for the new Nemesis, the only OP one is Gravathul but he will be nerfed. Otherwise you can kill them all, beast Nemesis being more annoying than anything.
Looks intrigueing! I’ve just added a pet build, would be interesting to compare them.
Never thought I would be testing MULTIPLE pet builds in gladiator crucible, AoM is truly wonderous
Actually, I’ve played DK today, so my feels of this build are fresh. I even rewrote the initial post about it. Sadly, there is no thread about this DK, only a video:
I will answer your questions. Yes, the items are pretty much bis, my green shield has 200% aether damage and 20% physical resist, but you can also grab Mythical Will of the Living shield, so the build won’t include pretty rare green items at all. I also put Wrathstone into the shied.
This build tears crucible apart, so any Nemesis are a joke. Of course GravaThul can be annoying switching off your auras and you are forced to kite Kupakabra a bit because of his stupid puddles, but you have to mess up VERY hard to die.
Will of the Living is decent, but I find your relic and medal weaker. Haunt relic gives incomparable sustain because of reduced life leech resist. Siphon souls is useless, Reaping strike gives far more damage and sustain.
I don’t like you devotion choices. You didn’t take Spear of the heavens proc, for real? I found it decent in helping clearing crowds, and it’s one point only since you alredy go for this devotion.
Fiend devotion is totally useless and I found Bat is better than ghoul, since it gives continious sustain and more affinity points to work with. Ghoul is great when you start dying, but I never find myself at that spot, even facetanking crowds, thanks to continious sustain.
We can agree to desagree.
I’ve found reaping Strike totally useless, and I tried it. It’s like making a conscious decision to be weaker overall. Syphon bind to flame torrent (35% weapon damage which work with life steal) is for massive aoe sustain and damage. Also why would I go for Bat, the proc is bad at best for aether builds… You don’t even scale vit/piercing damage. I went for Modrogen relic, but I play HC and considering the damage of this build it’s almost pointless to go for haunt relic. I still get damage from + 1 to all skills (Necro + soldier) and total speed which for now the set lack.
I used to like the proc from Spear Heaven before the expansion but since the expansion i’ve found it to be useless. Syphon + Flame torrent together is much better in my opinion.
EDIT: for the medal, i prefer that one since it gives + cap resist to elemental, more damage to aetherials and more damage to siphon soul which I use.
Mark of Dreablade medal proc with about 2k % aether damage is really low damage, +2 to cadence looks nice but cadence isn’t the main source of damage and I’d rather have +15% to aetherials instead and + 3% to elemental cap resistances.
Also not sure if there is a blueprint for Mark of Dreadblade, but there is one for Mythical Mark of Anathema and mine rolled with 7% armor (crafted from Angrim).
Hey Zhuugus, can you show how you chose your devotion for the Aether DK Build? And are the devotion chosen for the video gonna work for gladiator crucible? I’m very interested in this build since I saw this video on youtube before this topic came to be since I was searching for builds to beat raveger lol I really want to know how to improve this build for gladiator crucible.
PS: What about his Ideal setup in the description of the video? Is the gear better?
… and the patch nerfed the skeletons At least it will require more skill points put into the supportive skill
I wonder how fast DaShiv will adapt his build
So be it. I don’t think the differences are that big anyway. The patch landed. Bat proc is useless now, since can’t be bound to SoB, but still gives +4% lifesteal and affinity points. Reaping strike was buffed. Physical RR addition is a nice buff, especially for levelling. Anyway, tests must be done.
My devotions are the same as in the build, but I took 2 points from crossroads and 1 from dying god and put these 3 points into behemoth. This is safer, dying god proc is obviously more offensive choice, it’s up to you. Now, the gear you show isn’t better in my opinion, it’s a good alternative. Believe me, all these differences are minor, this build crushes crucible anyway
How are vitality apostate and cabalist looking post nerfs- and in general with whirling blades aura gone any tips on new bindings? Are they still worth using for the life steal, or would haunted steel be better in certain builds now? Is ritualist still looking okay post RE nerf?
