Red Wisp - Walking Simulator Budget Pet Cabalist

Foreword:

Cabalist version of my Budget Petwalker Conjurer :3

It is based around the Desecrator Covenant (Mythical Unholy Covenant) set which is Craftable. (Helmet blueprint is sold by Benevald). So… you will have to do a bit of Crafting and Transmuting… But unlike say, Bysmiel’s Trinkets, this is not some RNG drop that you might take ages to find. So, it is still “budget” in that sense.

How to Level

Attributes:

Everything into Physique, except for when you need to invest into Cunning or Spirit to meet the required stats for equipping items.

Leveling:

There are primarily 2 ways to go. Either focus on Occultist first or Necromancer first. I would suggest going with Occultist first since it is more closer to the final setup regarding devotions and such.

Occultist:

We will be focusing on Hellhound, Familiar and Elemental Damage. Since we are going for a Cabalist, it is recommended that you put enough points in Necromancer early on, to get a 16/16 BlightFiend before going back to focus on the Occultist Side.

Devotions:

  • Purple Crossroads > Shepherd’s Crook > Remove Purple

  • Green Crossroads > Raven > Rhowan’s Crown > Remove Green

  • Blue Crossroads > Eel > 4 points in Amatok (for Blizzard)

  • Yellow Crossroads > Tortoise > Remove Yellow

  • Sailor’s Guide > Crane > Panther > Solemn Watcher

  • Ishtak + 4 points in Tree of Life (for Healing Rain)

Skills:

  • Lvl 10 – 16/16 Familiar, 1/16 Mend Flesh.

  • Lvl 20 – 16/16 Hellhound, 1/10 Curse of Frailty, 7/10 Vulnerability, 1/16 Blood of Dreeg, 1/12 Storm Spirit.

  • Lvl 30 – 5/10 Curse of Frailty, 10/10 Vulnerability, 1/12 Ember Claw, 16/16 Blood of Dreeg.

  • Lvl 40 – 12/12 Lightning Strike, 1/12 Aspect of the Guardian, 7/12 Bonds of Bysmiel.

  • Lvl 50 – 12/12 Manipulation, 1/12 Infernal Breath.

  • Lvl 60 – 12/12 Bonds of Bysmiel, 12/12 Possession.

  • Lvl 70 – 12/12 Storm Spirit, 12/12 Aspect of the Guardian.

  • Lvl 80 – 12/12 Ember Claw, 12/12 Infernal Breath.

  • Lvl 90 – 10/10 Curse of Frailty, 16/16 Mend Flesh.

  • Lvl 94 – Respec as needed, according to the build you are going for.

Final Reserrbirb and done :3

Feed me Ice cream menacing

Rabagur done :3

Sorry, But the how to level information on this seems to be for a different build.

The reason is because you need the specific items and be atleast level 94 before you can transition to the actual build.

So, you level differently and then make the transition once you have all the items.

The leveling is done 100% with the Occultist mastery, and is the same for both classes : Cabalist and Conjurer.

Although, in this guide, you forgot to change the two lines on “leveling” and “Occultist”. They both still assume the Shaman as the second mastery.

So the recommandation to go for Briarthorn is to be changed to whatever we should take in the Necromancer mastery, if indeed it is needed.

oops, got lazy with copy/pasting

fixed :+1:

Hey, thank you for the build, but confused about this line. You say to get 16/16 BlightFiend when levelling, but in the following skills section for levelling, there is no mention of getting BlightFiend?

Thank you

Alsoi, the following line says:

  • Purple Crossroads > Shepherd’s Crook > Remove Purple

But no mention of what to put in Shepherd’s Crook. I am guessing Curse of Frailty?

That’s because this isn’t a Cabalist leveling guide, it’s a level 100 Cabalist build with an Occultist leveling guide stapled onto it. Even with every skill point available at 100, including secret quests, you’re only going to have enough points for a 3/16 Blight Fiend in addition to what this guide recommends.

If you want to play a Cabalist while leveling, go find a Cabalist leveling guide and come back to this when you get to 100.

Curse is the only option you will have, so yes.

Reason - Putting points into Necromancer while leveling is optional and the How to Level section shows a pure Occultist only path.

If you wish to go for a 16/16 Blightfiend, simply delay the skill point investment on the Occultist side by that much.

For example, the 16/16 Mend Flesh at level 90? is not necessary and is more of a point dump since with a single mastery setup, you will have more skill points than you need.

Since we need to take Curse of Frailty anyway, and don’t have anything else to bind to it, yes.

Ah, lovely. Thank you for the quick response

Thank you Maya, I apologise for my confusion. That indeed makes sense
