White and yellow items are basically money, so I’d like to find less of them and just get their monetary value instead.
They’re more like fruit on fruit trees - they require labour to collect, transport, and sell to market. Labour ain’t free.
In this case, the fruit are worth so little that they don’t justify the labour cost. And, as they say, money don’t grow on trees.
Let’s make a mod that scales whites and yellows to 1x1 sizes in inventory, therefore having more space for items. No, wait, just scale everything to the size of 1x1. I am not kidding, I am actually thinking of doing such mod but there’d be a problem with unlimitted inventory with that. Also, having to sell 1500 items would be kind of… time draining…
I can’t handle selling 40 amulets/rings or picking up every component from my stash just to put them somewhere else, how would I handle having everything in a square of 1x1…
Basically money?!?
Yeah, let`s make starting players journey more harder.
A way to turn useless into iron would be nice on the field, though.
There is lootfilter. Use it and forget about jellows and white items.
And then you are short of iron bits for crafting and then you die because of your outdated gear. It is a limited option for Hardcore.
You can easily fill your inventory with greens that are worth more iron in just a playthrough. I’m not seeing the problem of using the item filter.

Loot tables have been adjusted so less white items will drop as you progress further into the game.
turning white and yellow items off doesn’t make you miss out on iron, period
Next time you go in town to sell your 5 bags of yellow items, note how much iron you get. Do the same with green items. Without yellow you are not short of iron bits.
I don’t get more greens if I ignore yellows.
Yellows are the main source of iron bits on any level (maybe not for the late game, but still significant). I usually ignore yellows until I am out of Iron bits, but given the new ways to spend iron bits in the next expansion, the need for this hustle will intensify.
How on earth do you run out of iron…Never once had this problem :undecided:
I had over 2 million iron bits when I decided to craft a Bloodspill Cleaver. I was out of funds after about 60 attempts to find a suitable axe. 60 x 35,000 iron bits = 2,100,000 iron bits.
Still I have my filter set to rare+. I do not want to interrupt my gameflow just to sell all the yellow items in town. And in rogue-like dungeons it is not an option anyway.
I usually run out of crafting material faster that out of iron bits. But I’m too lazy to dismantle , so that probably the case
If you’re running out of iron faster than you can get an inventory full of greens for a large portion of the game, then you’re poorly spending your bits. The money issues you’re having are very much user side considering it doesn’t take long for greens to start dropping like candy.

That’s understandable as you put it like that
I am just spending them. They exist for this purpose.
