Some feedback on two storm-abilities!

“Thunderball” and “Lightning Bolt” have 10 second cooldowns making them really bad. Perhaps removing the cooldown or at least halving it would do the trick? You could on the other hand buff the energy cost to use them.
Also Thunderball has a really short range.

nice to see that you managed to get staves and spears working. I can’t actually remember, but did Titan Quest also have throweable javelins, or was that something uniquely added by the D2 Immortal mod.

I got the others too, the liche king summons, however he is invisible and static. When you disband him, the model appears on the ground.

Sadly that’s just how those skills were in TQ… lol. I will see about buffing them a bit. I want Lightning Blast to be on a similar level as doombolt, so it will keep a big cooldown. Thunderball I will probably set to be something like Stun Jacks, but I will see how things play out first. I have to play with it a bit and get a feel for it. I literally did nothing to these skills besides whatever changes Nordic included for their beta TQ patches. They are exactly as is in TQ, heh.

Javelins were a possibility because Titan Quest had some unused weapon slots (as Grim Dawn did, with the spears/staves). TQ already had the “one handed ranged” weapon type, but it was unused. Munderbunny and I used it for one handed wands, Vio opted for Javelins. Sadly, I could not use javelins as well (I was the one who showed Vio that option)

If you keep lightning bolt with 10 seconds cooldown you should probably buff it a fair bit (since it’s also late in the storm-tree)!
Winddevils, stormtotems and that big stormcloud (from the Squall relic) are doing sooooo much damage against enemies while lightning bolt was super duper weak in comparison in my game and on top of that it had the 10 second cooldown. I was simply forced to re-imbuse my points and not use it at all (same for Thunderball).

I have +1300% ~ lightning damage done and I can’t even one-shot a normal enemy wtih lightning bolt (4-5 ranks) :rolleyes:

Thunderball works nicely in TQ (have not tried here…), you don’t take it for the damage but for the stun :wink:

Why can’t those be packaged into the mods ARC files ?

For people who do NOT see the liche (are there any who do see it?), if you go into grim dawn/resources, the folders you dropped in there should be there. Within Creatures/pet/spirit, you should have some files, do you see them? Do you see licheking01.msh and a bunch of .tex files with similar names?

It’s hard for me to figure out what went wrong for you guys when it works fine for me.

edit: wait I think I may have figured it out. The animation file didn’t get uploaded with the rest of the files… shit, this is gonna be a pain.

Just drop the “monster” folder into the grim dawn/resources/creatures/ folder, it should be there along with the pet folder. Run the batch again and your liche should show up!

I will update to 1.1d tomorrow and include this with the batch files and stuff.

Are you sure, because I just did that and have no issues

Copy the resources dir to the mod’s resources dir and run the bat there. That adds them to the mod’s ARC files. Then distribute those expanded ARCs instead of the regular ones and everyone (but you) can skip that step :wink:

Where did the animation files go? And did you run the batch file? I mean if you say you have the msh files, assuming everyone does as well, everyone should only need the anm files I think.

liche still dosnt seem to work for me, even after this fix.
i see the files in the map as well.

ok what I did was copy as you said to do but also copied the Mummy folder into the spirit folder and Lich now shows up hope that helps and works for every one :stuck_out_tongue:

did you copy the whole folder or the files inside it?

the whole folder the mummy folder copy it into the spirit folder but leave the mummy folder where it is in the resource folder as Asylum said to do :slight_smile:
