So I am trying to increase the number of devotion points each shrine gives. I extracted the arz, used asset manager to make the changes to the shrine dbrs, and then built the mod. But when I start the game up characters are missing their head and weapons. Is there some step I am forgetting?

Okay, here is the arz file, and also the loose files. I forgot to mention, but I’m trying to run it as a basemod so I can use the characters in the cruicible. Since I made no changes to the arc files, I just used the ones that came with Grimarillion. Not sure if that impacts anything. I know I can do it with the unmodified Grimarillion

After unpacking the database, I found that you changed too many things and completely destroyed the structure of the character data. In fact, if you want to increase the devotion points, just edit devotionPoints,2, in records\interactive\devotionshrinea**.dbr to achieve your goal.

Try mine:

Okay, yeah that one works. When you say I changed to much, what do you mean? I thought all I did in asset manager was selecting the devotion shrine, saying it got 2 points, and then saving it. Is there something I missed in doing that?

It’s hard to explain in a few words, so I’ll use a comparison chart to describe it. The left side is your data, and the right side is the data of GAL 94a. The red indicates the difference.


From the picture, you can see that almost all subdirectories in your data have been modified. The key to causing the character to have no head and no weapon is records\creatures\pc\*.dbr

In fact, you only need to build the modified source data records.zip (50.7 KB) into grimarillion.arz.

i installed this file, but the problem did not disappeared.

Play in English, the mod doesn’t support polish, or any other language unless someone makes a translation. Which, there isn’t any to my knowledge.

I’m talking about something like that, not downloading the language pack for that MOD to use in GAL, because it only works with that MOD.
