[REL] Grimarillion v94a

Your argument is so strange. Lao Zhang just wants to tell you the steps of Chinese translation in the native language environment. How can it be said to be “original”?
Keeping the original text without Chinese translation is the real original.

In addition, I don’t know how you infer that the Chinese translation we made for MOD is not “original”?

Sorry, wrong link, here is the mutual conversion tool between arc and zip.
Drag and drop a zip or an arc, and a zip will generate an arc, and an arc will generate a zip file.

You should definitely ask tt300 about translations into Chinese. She is a long-time practitioner on mods and translation and is more widely active on the forum than I am.

Hey there, so I reported the bug that I talked about above (the 2 MI’s and their bugged modifiers), to crate entertainment.
This is their response:

"Hello,

These are modded items. Please reach out to the mod creator with your issue.

Kind regards,

-Kamil"

So, now I’m wondering who to blame now?

For all the others reading, I wrote a detalied report and sent an email to crate support: which I may as well paste here too:

last week, I started playing the “Grimarillion” mod v94a, and I was looking for 2 particular MI’s in the game

  1. Death Maiden’s Scythe

  2. Mark of Nacrathan

The first item is a 2H weapon “death maiden’s scythe”, that has modifiers for skill “spectral wrath” (in grim dawn necromancer mastery). This item modifies the skill by providing “flat cold damage” along with “100% aether damage converted to cold damage” (to spectral wrath). Third modifier provides -15% cold RR to spectral wrath. However, I managed to get the same item in-game, and it has all the modifiers that the one (in grim dawn item database) says, but:

  • item database says modifiers are applied to “spectral wrath”, while the in-game weapon says, modifiers are applied to “spectral binding”

This is a major confusion, since I saw the modifiers for a different skill, but got the item with modifiers for different skill.
Now, here’s the thing, even tho, the item in-game says modifiers are applied to “spectral binding”, but they are not. they are still being applied to “spectral wrath”. So, I’d say this is a text bug, that says something else, but does something else.

Same goes for “Mark of nacrathan”, which is an MI (medal) that has modifiers for “corpse explosion” (in D3 necromancer mastery). The item says modifiers are applied to “corpse explosion”, while the in-game item says “modifiers are applied to grim scythe”.

So, I’d say that these are textual errors. I’d be appreciated if you guys would look into this and correct these texts, so it doesn’t create any confusion amongst the players

So, I’m reporting the bug here, please look into this

Thank you!

i know this issue might not be big for some, but for a player like me who just started playing grimarillion and considering that mod does not have many build guides or guideliness, on Youtube and google, leads to own research and experimentations. Grim dawn item database was my best friend in this regard. But when I saw these 2 MI’s with bugged mods, I got confused and concerned, cuz I was tryna work around the frostscythe build and did some research on which items to get. But after seeing these 2 items, I was a bit concerned if my build will work or not.

It’s a high chance that some players might also face this issue in future, so that’s why I’m reporting it, so it can get fixed.

I know how much you guys have and have been working on the mod, and fixing these issues will definitely make the gameplay much easier for us.

So thank you for reading, and would be appreciated if anyone could address this issue.

If there’s a specific group/ channel/ forum where I could and should report this, then lemme know, so I can report it there, instead of here

And as always thank you for your time and effort. Cheers!!

Dude, Crate has explicitly stated many times across many locations that they dont a never will provide support for mods, only base game.
TLDR - nice text, but you wasted your keyboard lifespan.

Blame is an interesting word choice.

The bug is in Crate’s system. Modders cannot fix it. The best that modders can do is choose not to make things that interact with the game’s systems in this manner.

Item skill modifiers to secondary skills, such as Spectral Wrath in Necromancer or Torrent in Shaman, DO function and DO correctly modify the secondary skill as described. It’s merely a display issue on the tooltip generated by the game that suggests they’re applying to the base skill. Worse, sometimes this flips back and forth; it used to be that the tooltips would read correctly, now, they do not.

Again, for this issue to be resolved would require legwork from Crate. It’s out of our hands as modders to address.

What modders can do, however, is attempt to clarify these interactions via text elsewhere on the item, such as what Crate is doing on some of their items for Fangs of Asterkarn:

It does fall on us to make these interactions as clear as we can in spite of the wonkiness in Grim Dawn’s engine, but nothing will ever be perfect.

I know right? I totally agree that it’s definitely an interesting word choice, but who Am i to say anything

that’s exactly the type of guideline I was expecting. Someone guiding me how modders are not at fault and they can not do anything about the issue and how this problem is at the developer’s end. I really appreciate your comment. It has certainly made stuff easier for me and for other players who might encounter an issue like this.
And tbh, I’m a new player not to the mod, but to the base game as well. And having to learn about skill modifiers that they have wrong display text is something new and informative.

Thank you, that’s exactly what I needed. Someone to guide me (who doesn’t know stuff).

Once again thank you for reading my comment and taking out time to respond to my querries. In the end it has helped me!

This is the item property of GAL 94a, and the D3 MOD item data you are looking at is of course different.

沟通请不要戾气那么重,我没有说任何你们汉化不原汁原味的意思,也没有攻击任何人,我只是想做自己的东西,也再次感谢你们的邀请
Please don’t be so hostile. I didn’t say anything that your work is not original.and i didn’t want to agrue with anybody.i just want to make my own version of localization. And I am truely respect anyone who make contributions to the community.Thank you again for the invitation

thank you! For all your patience and advice .I will try it.And i prefer to do it myself

Hi, I was trying to use the Korvan Halberd with the Dream ability Distortion Wave, but it broke the animation, causing the character to freeze in place. I love the ability, so I am sad that it doesn’t work with this upgrade. Also, Evade is the only way to break out of it currently.
