They are rebalanced for GD, not for the mod. To balance specifically for the difficulty of grimarillion would defeat the purpose. All the grim quest masteries are more than capable of finishing the early areas of grimarillion. I have done it on several occasions with storm and nature. For nature you either want to grab multiple points in the wolf skill, or plague. (or both).
For Storm you’re gonna probably want thunderball at early levels or ice shard (or both). You really want to play as ranged, so you can probably just ignore the buffs unless you want to pick up a 2h rifle and kite everything - which also works well for storm.
I am in the middle of an update to tweak storm and spirit a bit, it might help the mastery a little but I’m not going to make things intentionally easier for grimarillion purposes.
I changed to normal (grimmer) instead of veteran (grimmest) and that helped a lot until I could level up the skills to be better and pair with better gear.
Grimarillion crashes on the quest “A Stranger In Need” when you attack Myla Finegan, in both v038 and v040. Unsure what other info you need for a report.
I’m unable to reproduce that crush too, but i was on veteran difficulty, cant really test on other difficulties, cause i deleted old chars
And please, dont forget that old bug with ring too
Hey, a bit out of the way, but any chance we might one day see Dawn of Heroes merged in? I’ve been playing it while I wait for the new Grimarillion update, and the classes are all reeeeally well done. I’ve grown particularly fond of my Voidcaller, but I love all the Grimarillion aspects as well - like staves and other Grimquest goodies. I just keep thinking how my Voidcaller could really use a staff that shoots chaos bolts lol.
Well i played alot and sadly titan quest masteries are good only for buffs and passives in this mod. All of them struggled to get to first boss (not even veteran), it was torture, i dont recommend getting them as first mastery.
I hear feedback all the time about how OP this is, or how easy that is. Think of GQ as hard mode. GQ is actively modded. Asylum is making passes through masteries to improve them and artifacts will be improved in the next release as well.
Check my expo thread. I have two builds using GQ classes as main.
I initially felt the same way. It’s just that the initial game is harder. Talk to the npc to respec immediately when you start a new character and you’ll level up. That’s step one. You also need some gear in the early game so I’d you have another character you can share with it does help
Didnt played GQ masteries as main masteries, but the dream mastery as addition to shaman bleed/vitality focused caster is great
Trance of Convalescens + Temporal flux are neat. When you take Dark Reverie, then Grasping Vines will do pure vit/bleed damage with 7.5m AoE and just 0.9 sec CD
PS. Easiest way to smash all content is to go Necrotic+Riftstalker
PSS. Still dont know why spirit aura’s has cooldowns
Ok, probably dream is ok. However summons (nature, earth, spirit) are dumb and sluggish, wolfes and sceletons are just too squishy, all of them are having hard time choosing enemy to attack ( especially when using special attacks), i dont know what causes it, but it feels bad, they just circling around enemys sometimes. Most spell skills are just underpowered at best, having bad damage, while having a cooldowns, for example earth mastery has few early spells that are just bad cause having an unnecessary cooldowns, even without them they would be mediocre. Probably for classic Grim Dawn they are ok.
Just for my two cents here, but I would argue it weeks be challenging to do warden in vanilla with pure summoner as well without good buffs from constellations, gear, etc.
Just tested nightmare summon in dream tree, as expected it is bad. Throwed all 10 point in it, it can clear trash quite ok, but cant kill single elite mob. Oh and that reminded me of the lich from the spirit tree. Trash. And to be medoicre it requires how much points, like 30? Im so dire to play nice summon build, as 99% of ARPGs got terrible summoner gameplay. Sorry i might sound a bit harsh, but i appreciate the work behind the mod, so thanks for your dedication)
