Very cool were getting a expansion but after seeing “We have another game planned that’s totally different from Grim Dawn” and being the hardcore fan i am of GD, it bums me out to know that maybe after this expansion, then that’s it for us?

I hope not, i hope to see in the future either another expansion or continued support of Grim Dawn, i doubt we will see a GD2 with server side tech but hey, a guy can dream-right? I’d love nothing more for these guys just to continue working on the game and create whatever else they want but also release new content for us huge fans of this ARPG.

I just want to see more and more of this world, there’s so much more that can be done with it, they hit the gold mine with this…it would be such a waste to just stop after this future expansion. I have zero problem with paying for DLC or whatever else they put out for Grim Dawn

An old but I believe still valid quote from 2010:

Basically, after releasing GD, we really want to just keep building this game and expanding the content as long as there is an audience for it. We’re planning for 200 player levels to accommodate this goal.

The description of the Loyalist Edition on the BUY NOW! page states “First expansion when released.” This implies there can be more expansions - as long as there is a sufficient large audience.

I love the TQ setting of Greek mythology, so as long as thier new game is an hack and slash with “infinite” loot, I would be happy with a different game.
But a totally different type of game, does it mean it wont’ be an hack and slash ?
I hope they won’t do the same thing as RunicGame who did a great job with Torchlight 2 but are now working on an adventure game (Hob), I already know this kind of game only last a few hours before being bored.

We have been speculating about their new project in New Crate games. My thinking is, that they want to branch out, so that they have multiple revenue streams. Any new project should not directly compete with GD and its expansion(s). A different game will also enable them to connect to new customers, and some of them might take a liking in GD then, too.
