Remove Class Prefixes From Weapons

made sense to have them available back when they provided bonuses to class related damage types, but now they just don’t belong on weapons. great for other gear slots, but not weapons. seems like 25% of the prefixes I see on caster weapons are class prefixes, which is just trash.

Or make them better on weapons ;). But I agree. I think I’ve used an arcanists x x once. Was lucky on a self found low level panetti build. But quickly outgrew it too.

Can they roll on weapons???

I never ever got a single weapon with a mastery prefix…

How about instead of removing them, you would make an alternate verson that boosts the damage types based on the mastery prefix?

Like, Soldier = Physical damage + the +1 to any Soldier skill. Nightblade = Cold damage + the +1 of to any Nightblade skill, and so on…

caster weapons, they can only roll on caster weapons.

also, you’re a liar. there’s literally no possible way you’ve never gotten one

also, also, they used to have damage on them, it was removed.

As said on the red colored texts above.

now that i’m looking into, the magic prefixes are all kinda lame. there is literally nothing besides stats/resists. same goes for focuses.

‘Other’

Removal seems harsh. I more prefer to work with what we’ve got and look to improving it rather than limiting our workable resources. Why are class prefixes trash? Are there ways to improve upon them? Is it that they’re not statistically favorable (i.e., values too low) or that what they boost is irrelevant?

I can work with that.

if they gave flat stats in addition to the % they give that might be enough. you could actually have diff tiers then also.

another option with the weapon class prefixes in particular, just have them grant +1 to all skills instead of a single skill.

I could come up with more ideas if you’d like, I’ve just poured myself a glass of thinking wine.
