Remove 200% IAS cap or riot, I was capped at level 40 this is stupid… 300% or so would be okay but to be honest 200% is way too low I mean you can get capped by wearing 1 item ffs, That’s broken AF…
This is by far the worst part about the game, What were they thinking…
Yeah I’ve Never seen any item that grants me a permanent 70 to 100% attack speed bonus. Would totally wear said item that way I can free up all my other items that I normally would grab attack speed on.
Pretty sure theres a 2hander with 100% IAS or so, not 200% my bad… But still my point being 200% IAS cap is REALLY low and can be reached in really low levels and doesn’t make the game as fun.
The only items that have that come in the form of heavily restricted procs. We’re talking about a duration of 1 second with a 4-8 second cooldown and a 5-10% proc chance.
no, the highest you can get is +23% or so with both affixes having AS (plus whatever deviation they have, so let’s say +30%), but that is not low level, because the suffix requires level 70, lower levels have lower AS
200% is not low, you have to farm a lot to get close to it. Also, you can always branch out into + damage when you get close.
You know, honestly, in my almost-800 hours of play, I’ve not once hit 200% IAS or CS. And I usually play with dualwield which adheres to higher speeds. They could bump it down to 170 and I’d be largely unaffected (I think my highest is 184 on one character, with procs).
If its so easy to reach the cap, rejoice! That means you can round out other areas of your character and grow more powerful without sacrificing attack speed.
There’s a great many things on my list of things to edit in GD when the mod tools come out. Attack/Cast speed caps are not on that list. 200% is balanced (or, it will be, when the multiplicative stuff gets sorted out).
Before the cap IAS was the go to on most items. You just picked the one with ias and that was it. Now with the cap, you are forced to branch out AND they changed some of the stats around so that ias is less prevalent. It makes the game more balanced.
Also, I’m pretty sure you haven’t played through Elite and Ultimate yet. You need a lot more than attack speed.
I personally think the cap is at a good place right now.
Funny how in your 4 posts you haven’t offered any sort of credible evidence of your build where you magically got 200% AS by equipping one item or where your build supposedly does more damage than every other build because you think AS is the most defining factor and contributes the most towards increasing damage.
