Is it possible to remove a WRIT so I can apply a Mandate?
Not really what he’s asking. He wants to remove a Writ so he can apply a Mandate instead, not give the Writ to another character.
Right. I might have added, that of course a writ can be overwrittten by a mandate. Obvious to me, but maybe not to a new player. My bad.
A Writ gives 50% bonus, a Mandate gives a 100% bonus , if for some reason you already have a Writ, the Mandate will overwrite it’s bonus, so you don’t get 150% reputation, but there is no need to “remove” the Writ.
I might have ran into the same issue OP had. I just hit Revered with the Rovers so I headed to the Rover Camp and purchased the Mandate. I cannot apply the mandate as this faction already has a mandate applied. When I check factions and hover over the + I only see the 50% given to me by the Writ. I am not able to right click and apply the mandate. I have tried exiting game and recreating new. Am I missing something?
No point in applying the Mandate since you already have Revered with that faction. That’s as high as you can go. Iirc you can put mandates into your transfer stash (not writs though) so they can be used by your other characters so they can gain rep faster.
Never mind - found another thread after some searching. Cannot apply mandates when your rep is maxed with that faction. Makes sense. I’ll move it to storage for a new char later on.
