Currently, you don’t receive any reputation from killing mobs in the crucible. I would assert that this is because of the sheer volume of mobs you kill at higher levels, and that would lead to an easy way to speed farm your reputations and would be a mechanic that devs don’t want for their game.
However, in order for the crucible to be an entirely separate game mode where you can solely play it and not touch the main game and still level up and gear up a character (they’ve included a way for you to gain devotion points so it seems like that’s their goal) you need to have some way to get augments from the crucible.
The enemy faction reps don’t make a difference, but the augments you get from friendly factions make a huge difference in the strength of your character. It would be cool imo if the devs came up with a way to either allow you to gain faction rep (at a much, much slower rate), buy them within the crucible, or even create a crucible faction with tiers of unlocks for cool gear, augments, ect. Creating a crucible reputation would open the door for endless other possibilities as well like the potential for crucible only gear, stats, augments, legendary patterns (where as the legendarys can only be equipt within the crucible (if there became crucible only stats maybe this gear would be the gear that has those stats)). I think the crucible has a TON of opportunity to be a really fun and rewarding game mode separate from the main game and im equally as excited to see where they take it. Great job Crate
