Would it not be good if ABB had a transmuter that allowed you to use it with on proc weapon pool skills. As a downside it can have a longer cooldown (maybe with extended Lethal Assault duration) and higher energy cost.
ABB is a good a skill on its own but does not synergize with anything skill other than maybe with DEE.

What?
When I said that it does not synergize what I meant was that it disturbes the flow of weapon pool skills. Assuming one balances it with the right math, it would feel much more satisfying to use it along weapon pool skills.
Again what I am suggesting is a transmuter, not a change in the base skill.
TBH I think a better solution would be to seriously buff the ABB base skill. It generally occurs less often than a Cadence hit and yet it does much less damage (at least against single targets).
For example, it takes 50% CDR to proc ABB every 0.9 second. It only takes 167% attack speed to do the same for Cadence. Plus, to perfectly synchronise ABB with attack speed (to avoid extraneous hits) either requires applying an equation I’ve developed, deriving that equation yourself through math+science, or a lot of trial and error.
Agree with this. I made an 2h-Ranged Acid Pyro because the damage o/p of ABB was very unreliable for my taste.
ABB is a great skill for crossbow/rifle hit and runs. Too bad that the game is very limited in the number of ranged weapon skills or ranged poison/acid/cold skills it offers currently.
There is Primal Strike (and Torrent) and Dreeg’ Evil Eye. That’s it. Not any descent devotion skills to back up such a build either.
I have tried to make it work in melee and I mean I really tried. Yes you can have a melee ABB build but there are much better melee skills. ABB is above all unsafe to use in melee. You MUST couple it with a stunner like Maul or have some other skill provide a debuff to reduce your chances of being killed while trying to land it in the middle of a mob.
Also it does not mix with weapon pool skills. Ranged ABB alleviates many of the problems presented above.
