Just wondering, but I have been seeing an extremely regular pattern after 700+ hours in. Most resistance stats match the attack stats (e.g. a weapon with %vit dmg will more than likely have %vit res). Is this done on purpose? Trying to build aether res on a melee physical/bleeding stats build.
Yes, it’s very common so I believe it’s done on purpose.
It’s a good thing though. Having a Poison build that doesn’t resist poison = certain death.
It is so you do not kill yourself on reflective mobs first, and also because it fits thematically.
I understand the purpose, but it kinda feel shortage on other res. 43% bleed res on a bleed build, and that is just 1 item…
I agree with this. Just because i hit mostly x damage it does not make sense to have 300 x resistance to it. OP’s point is espicially valid for sets. Sets coverage of resistances are complete bullshit. Every set piece should cover different res.
But sets predominantly do offer resistances outside of their “chosen damage”. This makes them appealing. One of the reasons elemental Arcanists favour Iskandra’s is the pierce resist bonus which is hard to boost for Arcanists. I mean you could slap on a mark of fierce resolve as an alternative but i’d rather use a different medal.
