Retaliation work when you block?

Hi there i was wondering if anyone can tell me if retaliation damage works if you block an attack?

Also is there a max block chance cap in this game, or can you actually get 100% chance to block, cuz I just set it up on grimtools calc and in the character stat page of grimtools it actually says i managed to hit 100% chance to block.

I just wanted to know if im actually hurting my dps if im stacking block chance XD.

You have block recovery, so you probably won’t always block. I think, retaliation works when you block, but hopefully someone can confirm it, because I am not sure.

I think it does but don’t really have proof lol, from what I’ve seen even insanely high block toons are proccing retaliate like crazy when getting hit

Yes it works. Only too high DA and %Dodge can fail your retal
