Lasts 5 seconds
X elemental damage
Y elemental duration over 2 seconds
Z reduced elemental resists
How does the original elemental damage hit work? Upon in creation, upon touching it, or is that per second. If it’s upon touch, can it happen multiple times?
Although the elemental resist reduction is nice i am not sure the damage is so minor if you stack them. My Warlock uses them to great effect with Heroes coming in off screen 3/4 dead with the Elemental Storm as the primary damage source. 5 secs is along time when you are pumping one out every sec.Throw in mass Vulnerability and they great make complementary Ele dmg.
My first Character was a 2hand ranged Cadence Witchblade(Lol :)) who struggled a bit at Elite SoT,(just the questline). With nothing but Discord and Switching Devotions to Rhowan’s Crown, including the purple elemental devotions to make up requirements and using Pox to proc and Solaeil’s Witchblade on Sigil i wa downing Purple levelled Heroes with ease right up to Elite Mog. It may not be significant at BoC/SoT Ultimate without extensive support but it has its uses. On my PRM Warlock if i dont Prep SoT packs properly with Elemental Storm i am noticeably slower at clearing said packs, considering the amount of Aether and Chaos dmg and support i have this could be considered strange until to take into the sheer number of Damage instances Elemental Storm provides when linked to a proccing machine.
Throw in the increased chance of stacking due to a reasonable AoE and duration and they become potent when combined with significant slows. The Reduced Life from Bloody Pox is also a great force multiplier for tanky yellows as well. If it can drag a 2hand Ranged Cadence Witchblade into Ultimate and still have decent Aoe Clear speed it can do anything.
Like other similar effects, it periodically applies its effects to all enemies caught in AoE. Probably also upon touching too, kinda hard to check for sure.
It happens multiple times, but of course, DoTs from same skill dont stack.
The Flat dmg stacks with other elemental storms, correct. The same way Sigil of Consumption and other periodic flat dmg skills stack. The eye test that mobs caught in multiple Elemental storms take more damage than mobs within single Elemental Storms without any other effects.
