Riftgate in Arkovian Undercity

Hello,

I have to ask something in this thread:

I am a relatively “new” player. Play the game for only 5 months.

I still feel the same way as I did the first time. The gates are in my right place in the right places. At the time of the first game, the gates were completely unknown to me and it was always nice when you reached the next one. Of course, today it’s different. Today I know where the gates are.

With that you can reconsider your playful and “game time” process.

But one thing still bothers me:

I’m missing a portal at the start of Level 1 of Arkovian Undercity.

Every time I play that there, I do not have the time in real life to play Old Arkovia and then this relatively big level in the end as a whole.

What are the chances to add a portal there?

I am satisfied with the rest of the rifts …

Thank you…

Edit: The thread in the developer forum is unfortunately closed…

Lol

Not sure I understand. There’s Twin Falls rift, so you don’t need to go through Old Arkovia. From Twin Falls to the entrance is maybe 15-20 seconds if you beeline it. And if you’re re-visiting/farming then you can get into Arkovian Undercity from Broken Hills rift as well. What exactly is a problem?

EDIT: medea, if you’re reading this - I think this should be in suggestions.

I mean, months doesn’t mean anything. You can play 5 months and have 1500 hours in it, or play, like me, about 7 or 8 and have 526 hours in it.

So, we can assume you have about 100 hours in the game, therefore you’re new to it.

I mean, of course, Twin Falls and not from Old Arkovia.

And I mean the playing of a new char, who can not run backwards, because he unlocks the portals on the first play-through …

The solution is easy. Go to Twin Falls, go into the first level of the undercity and then take the exit there out to Broken Hills and activate the portal there. Then go back into the undercity at your leisure. Took me a while to cotton on to doing that, but it makes tackling the undercity area a bit easier. I do the same from Broken Hills to Smuggler’s Pass - I run through to activate the latter before I do the Steps of Torment and Hidden Path bits. Otherwise it’s simply too big an area to cover in one hit sometimes, depending on how much time I have to play.

OK. That is the solution. I can also get out there first, the exit is not at the end. And then activate the portal, if I do not have enough time to continue playing.

I have not come up with the idea yet.

Thanks, learned something again;)

I always laugh a little when I realize people miss this. I think it was right after they did the redesign of this whole area that I discovered that you could go out there right away and activate the rift.

Yeah, it tends to be my bugbear sometimes. I used to do the same in TQIT when fighting Barmanu. Since he nearly always killed me I had a long run back from the last rebirth fountain before I could tackle him again. Then one day I thought, hang on the next rebirth fountain is just a little way beyond his cave. If I activate that and then die I won’t have to run so far. Been doing that ever since.
