Ritual circle has on it 28 % casting speed. Thus when you build chaos AAR Warlock you either build for 200 % CS without it and then have too much of it or have far less CS when it is down if you build for 200 % with it. CS from Ritual circle should be moved to the off-hand on the set. This much casting speed should not be dependent on a cooldown skill. It is OK with phys res and TDM but not with casting speed.
Agree. Maybe give off-hand half of casting speed bonus, at least it will be consistent in such case.
this
i always felt like it was there to “counter” slow debuffs, and you were “supposed” to 200 without it. (like how everything is this “situational” bonus on Circle)
It then goes to the overall unreliability of the pet/circle that’s been brought up many times because of the huge downtime it has, where you might even have some just ignore it or build without it because it can’t be counted on enough/to be worth it
Sadly one of those things that hasn’t really changed over the years, and seems greatly underappreciated set bonus because of it
Ritual circle is a too outdated design. 25 seconds cooldown and 15 seconds duration, 60% theoretical coverage rate. But in SR runs, you won’t stay rooted. You may only stay at one combat location for 8-10 seconds and then rush to the next combat location. The actual coverage rate may only be 30%.
Worse still, Ritual circle has only 3 meters radius, even smaller than Inquisitor Seal. Everytime you evade, you go out of circle. As a comparison, Banner of Doom and Eldritch Shard have 8 meters radius, and the two have much better cooldown and duration. Deathstalker’s rr aura is 10 meters radius and it will move with players.
Ritual circle should have shorter cooldown and increasing scope.
It would be good if it worked more like an Inquisitor Seal. Spam more of them but with smaller bonus. Chaos AAR is strong anyway.
