Rolderathis' Tome or Groble Sky Effigy?

Got tired of playing invincible soldier variants and I’ve been having great fun finally leveling my Druid.

Build will be CDR heavy Trozans Sky Shard, Wind Devil, and Storm Totem cast and kite playstyle.

For endgame, I’m going with either Groble or Rolderathis’ MI.

I was pretty much sold on Sky Effigy, but new 1.004 Rolderathis now has -1 radius modifier to TSS, which I assume causes the projectiles to further shotgun for amazing single target damage. 1.004 Trozans set also further buffed TSS with increased modifiers.

Since I will be heavily using BOTH TSS and ST, does anyone have advice on which MI offhand would give me the most mileage? Why?

Thanks!

depends what you want your build to be more of, if you care about the identity of your builds like that.

Storm Totem is very enticing and once you get it you you feel compelled to add gear with mods for it because it’s that good and reliable. I’ve even done WD/ Storm box build and kept away from Totem because once you get it, it’s mostly a Totem build.

If you like TSS Rolderathis’ Tome is awesome, nothing beats it if you want better TSS. Sky effigy is more practical for maxing dps. From here on you have to chose:)

Thanks for the reply! I like both skills, and think I will probably choose sky effigy to help in maxing storm Totem. The Trozan set already goes a long way toward buffing TSS, so Sky Effigy seems like a more balanced choice.

What prefix/suffixes are your favorite?

Magestorm is pretty great for lightning, it doesn’t have cast speed but neither totem or TSS need it really.

Totem modifier is best for levelling, wind devils feel unreliable and TSS does not feel good till you sink in a lot of points and + skills

Sandstorm - of Fallen skies

Before getting the TSS legendaries the groble effigy definitly wins. Once you start to get a 4th projectile and added flat to TSS though i suspect this may change. (But don’t have the gear to do the tests to prove it)

Yeah, this was my thought too. After +2 projectiles from starfury emerald and Trozans set, the -1 target area would mean a lot of shotgunned damage.

He’ll, I’m just going to have to test both

If you’re only farming areas where the enemies are consistently big (Void’s Edge, etc.), then the radius decrease won’t help much.
