Sacred Strike/Elemental Storm

Does the resistance redution from both skills stacks?

I’m asking mostly because sacred strike says it reduces the resistances of the enemy, while elemental storm says it reduces “elemental resistances” instead, so I’d like to knowif they stack or not.

I’d like to know, as well. I’m playing a Warlock using elemental Replicating Missile, with Curse of Frailty/Vulnerability and Elemental Storm.

Was looking through the components and thought that Blessed Steel’s Sacred Strike would help in reducing boss resistances, though going up close to strike is a little risky.

They don’t.
I always have this ready for reference:

Basically, if two sources of resistance reduction are worded the same way, they do not stack, except for -n% resistance (Curse of Frailty, Devouring Swarm, etc.). For this rule, it’s irrelevant whether one of the two sources reduces elemental while the other reduces all resistances; they both use the same “n reduced target’s resistance” formulation.

So what’s the difference between Cat A and Cat B then?

A can’t stack, B can stack

Aside from the wording, Category B stacks with itself while Category A does not. Lets say you want to reduce poison resist. Curse of Frailty+Vulnerability and Night’s Chill will stack with each other since they are both from Category B. However, Acid Spray and Mark of Dreeg will not stack with each other since they come from Category A.

Where does the “20% chance of 32% Reduced Target’s resistance for 5 seconds” fall into it? Can it stack with anything? Or is it part of Category C?

Category C, does not stack with other sources.

Can it stack with A and B? An example, Arcane Bomb (which is B) stacking with the Mindwarp debuff i mentioned in my post.

Yes, A, B, and C all stack with each other, although C is calculated differently than A and B. Most of the information you are asking for is here, which was already posted in this thread.

I did read the table of resist reduction. I just wanted to be sure.

Gee, I’m glad that didn’t worded that weirdly. But seriously, thanks. This is so confusing I actually gave up trying to understand. On the other hand, I haven’t made it to Ultimate just yet, I suspect that when you actually need to know these things.
