So I just switched to a new pc and the old drive has been wiped. So no accessing the local save files that I only now found out about. But I had cloud saving enabled in steam and in steam cloud, and when I go to the network tab in the in-game options and download cloud saves it says ‘working…’ for 1-2 seconds then looks like it goes through but I am still not getting my saves.
I’m not sure how to contact support specifically for this but I thought I’d ask around first to see if any of you fine players had an answer. I’ve spent over 80 hours in the game and finally had a good Saboteur character going and I’m really not looking forward to start over so any help restoring my characters would be fantastic.
Don’t know why but they can’t seem to get the cloud working properly. Many people have lost saves(including me).Probably because you can enable it both in-game and via steam.
Just for this very same reason I started to do a backup every weekend of the folder where Grim Dawn saves the files locally, zipping and copying it to another partition of my HDD and to an external USB memory, just to be on the safe side that I always have them somewhere else.

If you originally had only enabled the Cloud saving in Steam, but hadn’t enabled it in the Grim Dawn options as well then you would only have had the locals saves.
