Scion of Perdition - Fevered Rage Perdition Based Acid Retalition and Spam AoM Sentinel - SR34-35

This is more a showcase, can’t do much else due to 4 nights of utterly terrible sleep :upside_down_face:

Anyhow, in adventures with Bloody Pox and Acid Retaliation I finally had the insane idea to try standard cooldown AoM + Righteous Fever with the Mythical version of the Perdition set. Because why not? Short version - didn’t work very well, due a lack of sustain. So went the Spam route with mad_lee’s most excellent Caustic Rebuke and copied it’s devotion path. SR30-31 became a cake work as a result.

But SR34-35 became a constant set of roadblocks, particular in the boss rooms. Cue looking at the devotion screen wondering how the fluff I could do. The Answer was Hyrian, because that plus Behemoth, Scales and Lotus helped greatly with sustain, health and armour. At a cost of total flat and % retaliation.

So teh build:

And the SR34-35 clear, that took ages to get, because of fluffing zopiclone side effects and included 2 deaths from me getting cocky:

Recommend newbies stick to SR32-33 until they feel confident enough, since the lack of physical resistance on this and need to stand and tank = potential pain and suffering.

Valdaran and surprisingly Benn’Jahr are your greatest boss room threats, The Shaper of Flesh is another one, so try and not use Bloody Pox on any of them. And if you die to Iron Maiden or Fabius on using BP, return and don’t use it. Because they can spawn with gear that gives them much more OA and that leads getting critical hit to death.

As for alternative gearing, the only legendary definitely needed is the Conduit, the others can be subbed for either Dreeg Sect pants with a good roll and Myth. Vilescorn boots for farming SR30-31. Stone Treader’s proc is really, really helpful in SR34-35 though, because with only 17% physical resist you’re taking a lot of incoming physical damage.

And if you’re looking at the Devotion Path and going “how in the name of Solael did they do that?!”, worry not.

For I have an answer.

Namely you need to rely on self-support for Hyrian and Scales, which is how Murmur ends up with only 4 points in it, because you use those 4 points to shift around to create the devotion points needed for each self supporting devotion. So like you’d use Crane or Lion to get enough points to get Scales. Or Toad to get the green and purples needed for Hyrian etc.

When levelling, going for Scales is probably the best idea, since it’s the most annoying to get and provides sustain and flat RR to tide you through. Then go for Shield Maiden and work to get Messenger of War (put points in Toad for it) and then devotions to the south.

As for what else it can kill, Mogdrogen’s the easiest and it should be able to deal with Lokarr with a fire resist pot + the Bourbon clones with a health regen pot and some kitting + abuse of terrain to block stuff. No idea about Ravager of Flesh, but it would probably be hard and Cally is probably off limits in Ultimate, while Crate I just don’t have the ability to test out. Because that would require Soul’s-like reflexes and I’ve been in gumby mode for the last week+.

But that’s life with untreated severe ADHD for you, with add anxiety fun :upside_down_face:
